"I bought these boots 2 seasons ago and my feet have never gotten cold not even after setting for 4 or 5 hours in 14 degree weather, they are tight in the ankle and you really have to pull to get them on but worth the effort they are very comfortable with great traction and my feet have never gotten wet."

"THESE BOOTS ARE NOT BUILT RIGHT. I WHERE A SIZE 10.5 BUT ORDERED A 11 AND I PULLED OFF THE TOUNGE IN THE BACK PUTTING THEM ON. THEY WERE WAY TO TIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE BOOT BUT LOOSE WHEN YOU FINNALY GET THEM ON."

    Great, rugged, cold-weather boots, February 23, 2009
    By CPTJEM from Abingdon, MD

"I first used these boots on a mountain lion hunt in the Colorado Rockies. Great performance in sub-freezing temperatures and hiking over some pretty rough terrain with snow and mud conditions. A bit heavy for all-day hiking, but to be expected with the ankle height and insulation included in this boot. The reviews about the boot being a bit small are accurate: I normally wear a 10.5 boot and ordered 11.5 in this product. With a nice thick pair of wool socks, the fit was perfect."

Fit of Boot, February 7, 2009
    By Maxidine from Pennsylvania

"The only problem that I have with this boot is when you go to put them on. I actually ordered the next larger size than what I normally wear but when you go to put them on, there is not enough room in the ankle area of the boot to get your foot down into the boot. The sewn in tongue of the boot needed to have more space to enable you to get your foot into the boot. I have never had a problem with any other boot like this including other Rocky boot's that I have owned. I struggle for 10 to 15 minutes pushing and pulling to force my foot into the boot. after I get it on, I love the boot. It is comfortable and they keep my feet warmer than any boot that I have ever had. If it wasn't for this problem with placing my foot into the boot, I would have given it a 5 star rating."

    By drumsloud from Vernon, CT.

"Nice boots, but like everything else Ive recently bought from Cabelas..TOO SMALL. Maybe if I wore nylons they might fit. And they seem to never have what you want in stock. So plan a year ahead because everything you buy upper end is on backorder and you will have to send it back and try again."

    bad fit, January 6, 2009
By 28pointer from deer hunting nut from illinois......

"I had read in reviews that some people had trouble with tight fit at ankle with these boots...I did not think i would have a problem since i already own a pair of Rocky blizzards, 1200 gram size 10 was happy with these just wanted a little warmer boot with more size for heavier socks....I ordered a 10.5 wide in the deer stalker extremes. the quality of the boot looked fine but the left boot was to tight in the ankle and i could not even get my right foot in the boot at all....great looking boot they are just made wrong..........i bought a pair of artic bruins instead, they fit fine just need to try in cold weather........"

    Awsome Boot, December 14, 2008
    By Patriot1776

"I have always had Timberland boots and have always been satisfied (Fit like a glove) Not sure why but I could not find a pair of Timberland to replace my old ones. I hesitated to buy Rocky but they sounded good so I took a chance. I'm darn glad I did! These are the best boots I've ever experienced. They are extremely comfortable and seam to breath keeping your feet from overheating and sweating while walking. As others mentioned the boots are tight when puting on around the ankle. I view this as a positive since I think this is one reason the boots fit so well."

"overall i am satisfied with the boots. they are very comfortable and warm, however they are a little heavy and they pick up lots of rock and mud while hunting. a little pricey but worth the money in my opinion."

Rocky Deer Stalkers, November 30, 2008
    By vawarden from Verona, Va.

"I bought this boot because I prefer a taller boot and I needed a little more warmth. So far my only complaint is the difficulty in getting them on. The boot needs a little more width in the tounge to allow your foot to slide in. It may get better with more use. Overall, a comfortable, warm and waterproof boot. I'm pleased so far"

Not sufficient enough, November 22, 2008
    By 35736d from Sandwich, MA

"I was in the North Maine Woods in 12 degree weather with a lot of rain which the turned to snow. These boots were excellent for dryness, after a 10 hour hunt they were bone dry.
As far as warmth they were possitively awful. I would not recommend these boots at all, especially for the price.

"Very comfortable right out of the box. Excellent traction. Trust me, I hunt in West Virginia and couldn't of dragged out my buck last year up a steep muddy hillside with a lesser boot. Only problem I have is this is my second pair in two years. They leaked after one year. Other than the waterproof issue, these boots are comfortable and warm all day despite how cold it is. Hopefully my first pair that leaked was a fluke."

    Great Boots, October 18, 2008
    By Cal50BMG from Spokane, WA

"While the price is a bit high, its a great boot for the money. I didn't realize how large of a boot it was until I recieved it in the mail. But that extra largeness explains why they are so good at keeping my feet so warm. I now have had them for 3 hunting seasons (years). They are very comfortable, easy on and off, they seem to cushion every step that I take. After wearing them all day my feet don't hurt. They are a great boot and I enjoy wearing them. Very water proof even after trudging in wet snow. I have successfully used them with snowshoes as well. They aren't very good on steep hillsides with loose rock."

    GREAT BOOTS, September 16, 2008
By beemer22 from North Eastern CT

"I got these boots for christmas last year and before I got a chance to wear them I read several reviews somewhere that they were very hard to get on, even with the laces totally loose. I have size 13 wide (very wide) feet and I thought that I was in real trouble. So I put on my heaviest pair of wool socks and got ready to do battle. The boots were pretty snug getting my foot through the ankle section but nothing like what many of the other reviews said, and once they were on they fit perfectly. Not too tight or too loose with room for another pair of socks (I don't think 2 pairs of socks will ever be needed). What I really like about the tighter ankle section
is that there is a minimum amount of material at the ankle so it dosen't bunch up when laced up tightly. The first time I had them on was a warm day and I walked about 5 miles scouting potential deer hunting areas through tall grass, mud, 6 inches of water and over rock strewn sections with no ill effects. NO blisters, no sore toes and because they breath so well my feet came out reasonably dry (I sweat alot and normally my feet freeze because they get soaked in all of my other boots).
I couldn't be more satisfied and would recomend these boots to anyone.
