G20 Pop Up Blind,
October 29, 2009
By RVTG
from NC
|
"This is an ok blind. Nothing spectacular. First thing I noticed was how heavy it was. I did not get the DVD that was supposed to be included. It obviously is not rain proof. Once I set it up and got inside it was like looking at the night sky with all of the little holes. Set up is very easy. Taking it down is a bit of a hassle. The instructions for taking it down are less than helpful. I also think the poles should be somehow integrated into the blind instead of a seperate piece. You really don't have to use those though I noticed. I also think the velcro window screens should be designed different. They would make a ton of noise if you removed them in the field. I took them off. Overall I think it will do the job. The price is right on this. I wonder how long it will hold up though."

GREATEST BLIND FOR DISABLED,
October 22, 2009
By MULEMANN
from MID MISSOURI
|
"I have had one of these for several years. The door is the only one I have found that a mobility challenged person can fit thru. (wheelchair will go thru one) I use an old swivel office chair. (comfortable and easy to line up 360 degree shots) Last year due to more back surgery during the rifle season the blind didnt get taken down, and its still standing! It lived thru several snows and high winds ( it was staked down w/better stakes then what came with it) I use a small propane heater (Mr. Buddy) a comfortable chair (padded) and I can stay all day. Using an office chair, the big windows are the perfect heigth. I only have to unzip them so they open about an inch all the way across the top. Very good field of vision and field of fire. Deer hunting in 45 degree weather in a tee shirt. It doesnt get any better. Two words of advice I can give anyone that physically cant track a deer or doesnt want to is "head shots""

Ameristep G-20 Pop-Up Blind,
October 19, 2009
By Jeeper9

"I just received it today and I set it up in the back yard to waterproof it. One of the tabs for inserting the inside poles was sown upside down so I had to do a little fabrication to make a pocket to insert the end of the pole. Other than that, it looks okay. As they say, you get what you pay for. I'm a bowhunter and it may be a little tight for drawing back, but I think it will be doable."

practice at home first,
October 14, 2009
By andrefromupstateny
|
"The blind is great but my only words of advice are practice practice practice at least 15 times in the comfort of home taking down the blind before you have to in the field. Trust me on this one. Other wise you will look pretty funny walking out of the woods with it fully assembled. Check out the instructions on the ameristep site, it is great if the dvd wasn't included like mine. Otherwise its light, roomy and a great value."

great for turkey and deer hunting,
October 10, 2009

"i got this while i was shoping in wv i desided to use it for turkey hunting that why they can't see you moving around i also bought a high back chair for it i tryed to use it for bow season and found there's a down fall to this but i can over come that the down fall is you've got to have a real wide clearing with hardly any trees around where i hunt that's not a good place to put it up,another down fall is folding it back up to put in the bag should practice doing this before taking out into the woods i'd recommenf this to everyone of my friends and other hunter's.another plus you can even use it as a tent as long as you're not over 6' tall."

"Easy enough to set up. Some difficulty in getting it folded back up and in the bag. Roomy for one but would be tight for two and gear. Mesh on the windows is nice. I personally like the camo pattern. It fits for the areas I hunt."

Good Blind for Gun Hunters and Smaller Archers,
June 21, 2009
By Eric31
from Arizona
|
"I like this blind for ease and compactness, but in reading the dozens of good archery reviews, I'm thinking most of these guys must be under 6 feet tall. I'm 6'1" and when I drew back, my elbow was poking the back and my bow limb was pushing against the front of the blind. 2 firearm people will probably work, but anyone with a reasonable draw length is going to be cramped. I'll be returning it for a wider one."

Ameristep G-20 Pop-up Blind,
June 18, 2009
By venisonchewer

"Overall, it's a great blind for the money. Spacious enough for firearm hunting, kinda tight for bow hunting, but possible. Does'nt cost hundreds, keeps you dry, easy setup, might pay to have two! Great blind to try out blind hunting before paying a lot for something you may not like. I like being dry, if you like being dry, give it a shot. 4 out of 5 stars, an honest rating."

"I like the blind. I use it for turkey hunting with a 60" recurve and I can shoot fine from it. I used a piece of camo burlap on the inside at the top of the opening to make a little more cover for me. All and all it's a good blind for the money."

G-20 Pop-up blind,
May 2, 2009
By emt1
|
"Just recieved my G-20 pop-up. This is my first blind and couldn't afford too much right now. However, I'm impressed for the money. plenty of room for bowhunters, and even though you need to practice taken it down, it can be done and is quite easy after you have the hang of it. you will need to water proof it , if you intend to use it during the rain. this is very little to do, considering you haven't invested much. I'm sure I will get a lot of enjoyment out of this blind."

"i got this blind from a friend me and him can both set in it i wiegh 340 and he wieghs 270 im 6-2 he is 6-0 and i still have room to shoot a rifle a bow is a bit trickier but you can manage i went bow hunting by my self in it and a 4 point buck sniffed me out but it was my fault when you set it up it is best to set it up and hunt it three days later or other wise when the deer walk up they keep a close eye on it but anyways about 5 days later i went back hunting out of it and a doe walked 15 yards in front of me and had know clue i was there the next thang she knew she had a arrow through her so this blind works great just remember to give deer a few days to adjust to it before you hunt"

"goes up easy and quickly. Has no floor or bottom which is nice and has replaceable shoot through netting. you can take down or remove so you dont have to shoot through it. packs up small and easy and light to carry. I am 6'-2" plenty of head room when I am sitting on a camp chair or a 5 gal. bucket. good for outdoor photography too."
