Cabela's Laramie Peak™ Mid Hikers

These light-duty, mid-height, dry-weather men's hikers are just what you need to keep you comfortably trekking the trails all day long when the weather is nice and the temperatures are mild. The uppers are crafted of a durable combination of abrasion-resistant nylon and wear-resistant synthetic leather. A rubber bumper shields your toes from run-ins with rocks and roots. An abrasion-resistant heel kicker guards the back of your foot. A gusseted tongue keeps sand and dirt from sneaking in. The shock-absorbing EVA midsole plus a resilient polyurethane footbed cushions your steps. The rubber outsole is equipped with a multidirectional lug pattern for four-way traction. Imported. Height: 5-1/2" Weight: 2.2 lbs./pair Men's sizes: 8-14 D and EE width. Half sizes to 12. Colors: Tan/Gray

"My second pair, I purchased this shoe about 4 years ago and they are very rugged, I still wear them almost every day. I thought I had better buy another pair in case they are discontinued. I like the new quick lacing on the new ones."

"I have had these hikers for six months and have used them for just about everything. They are holding up extremely well. More importantly they are more comfortable than a much more expensive hiker that I wear for work. I am sure there is not a better shoe out there for the price. Great quality, Great price. I would not hesitate to buy from cabela's again."

Good boot for the price, January 14, 2009

"For being the lowest priced hiking boot (other than seconhand) that I could find, they are well worth it. I got them so I didn't have to wear sneakers throughout the winter. Despite it stating directly in the product description that they are not intended for wet activity, they have stood up to shovelling in knee-deep snow for a couple months so far. I'd rate higher if I had owned longer."

"Tried them on. Uncomfortable. Not high enough to cover the ankle but not low enough to avoid the ankle. The shoe material was too stiff. Couldn't imagine walking far in these."
