Nightmare Season Pro Boots, Waterproof? NOT!,November 19, 2009
By NewHampshireCarnivore
"Calling these A "Dream" Season boot is not quite correct. They are a nightmare. I ran into a quick October shower while crossing a clover field enroute to my "hotspot", when my boots started taking on water. By the time I reached the base of my tree, I literaly took them off and dumped water out of them. This was after only walking across a wet field. I tried emailing Scent Blocker and finally got a response on my 3rd try. I am getting replacements, I hope they are better that the first ones I bought for a dream trip to Ilinois and couldn't use. Giving 1 star is generous but required."

Scent Blockers,September 19, 2009
By kcm1460kentwafrom Kent Washington
"These are a great boot. Was very nervouse about these boots because of the reviews but ever since I've had them they have been great. Right out of the box they are comfortable and I wore them for 8 hrs hunting with out a problem. I would recommend that when you zip up the boot to use your finger between the zipper and the fold to prevent it from jamming the zipper. and just as they say totally waterproof crossed several streams with out a problem."

2 in a row,August 24, 2009
By BigDMTfrom Billings, MT
"I ordered this boot because the store did not carry any sizes above size 12. When the boot got here the left boot zipper did not function. I even tried to pull this zipper down with a pair of pliers, NO LUCK!!. So I went through the ordeal of ordering another pair thinking this was a fluke. When the second pair arrived, you guessed it, the left boot zipper was not functional!!. This appears to be some sort of manufacturing issue. Too bad, I would have liked to try these in some adverse conditions. Perhaps Scentlok should stick to clothes!!!"

it worked great for me,August 15, 2009
By therealtestfrom MN
"I read all the reviews before I bought the product and I was a little over powered by how many people said that it did not work for them. The problem that I was having was that most of the people returned and got another pair. why??? If the product was so bad why get another??? But any way I ordered a pair and got them in the mail within a week and took them out and put those on right away the zipper did not get caught on any fabric or fall apart. Also I did it many times up and down not just once or twice. Next the water problem that seems to be the big issue with everyone I put it to the test I filled the tub and put them on and splashed around for a bit and well I had no leaks. Then I thought what if they had a mile or two in them so I went for a walk out in the woods throw brush and rocks and tree branches hitting them. Then back to the bath tub and they still held the water out. The other problem that people talked about was the top strap not holding together in my two mile walk I had no problems with the top strap coming apart. “Side note” “I had my pants tucked over my boots “. Things that I liked about the boots, they are very light and a very comfortable to wear. Things that I did not like I only had two minor issues with them. One wear long socks with them the will rub your ankle and they get sweaty when walked in for long periods of time. Two they get warm then walked in for long periods of time. Over all I am happy with the product and glad that I tested out the product myself and not just took the word of other peoples opinion. Note the boots are not designed to be warn as knee high water proof boats they will leak if they are put past the top three inches."

HORRIBLE BOOTS,May 17, 2009
By deerandturkeyfrom North Carolina
"I would not recomened anyone to waste your money on these boots. I bought them hoping they would be waterproof, light, and warm.... Light they were but far from waterproof. Didn't even have to walk in water, just wet grass and my feet got wet. Made for very cold, wet hunt."

Nice and light,April 22, 2009
By Shayd14from Halcott Center, NY
"I was shocked on how light these boots were, with enough ankle and foot support. They hold in scent well. Enough so bears and deer cant recognize it. Make sure you get the right size though, our you're foot moves around a lot and become pretty uncomfortable."

ABSOLUTE JUNK,March 20, 2009
By Radoutdoorsfrom west va
"I got my first pair for christmas this year. I wore them twice. The third time i wore them, the zipper caught on the material. When i tryed to free it, it broke. I took the boots back to the retail store and replaced them with another pair. I took my new ones home, put them on my feet, grabbed the zipper and took great care not to get it stuck,, worked great, i grabbed the other zipper and did the same. The zipper stuck anyway.I tugged gently on the zipper, and it broke. I sent them back and got a different style . I emailed scentblocker about the boots and never got a reply. I bought my last scentblocker product. One star is too generous."

"bought these boots thinking scentblocker was great but these boots were not. feet got wet, tops always rubbed together due to the bulky snaps to keep them closed. dont waste your money like i did. luckily cabelas took them back and i got the cabelas whitetail extreme and they are the most comfortable and reliable boots i own. wish every shoe fit like them . would not give these boot a star but you have to"

What's the problem?,February 23, 2009
By fillinthefreezerfrom S.E. Texas
"These boots are great. Yes the zipper is a bit of an issue but look how far the thing has to travel. I looked at all the reviews prior to driving to Dallas from Houston to make the purchase. Yes I could have purchased on line and had them to the door but I wanted to try them on for the fit so I wouldn't be one of the people who complained about the fit. By the way I normally use a size 9, in these im in a 10wide(with hunting socks). I went back to the place I was staying and filled the bath full of water due to the bad reviews saying these boots were not water proof. Well to my suprize the boots were water proof and warm. I have no complaints about theses boots. I did only give four stars due to the zipper being a long travel with material along the way at times getting cought up. But other than that awsome pair of boots."

Scent Blocker Boots,December 11, 2008
By TD52from ALABAMA
"The boots by themselves are fine but the zippers are at best fair. Sent first boots back because the zippers would not work and got new pair. These also have poor functioning zippers, but are at least operable but require constant lubrication to keep from binding up. They are comfortable and dry and warm enough for mid 20's temperatures."

Dream boots indeed,December 8, 2008
By SunriseGSDfrom Conowingo, MD
"I looked everywhere for side zip boots like this for several years. Finally a good boot for the wet fields and marsh areas on Assateague Island where I hunt Sika deer. This boot is very supportive and comfortable all day hiking in the marsh. Very light, that's the first thing you notice. Incredibly warm for such a light and thin boot is the next thing you'll notice. I'm a big man, and have larger than normal calves. This boot actually fits. It also will fit "normal" sized folks as well. This boot is on the high end of what I'm willing to spend for boots but the investment is worth it from what I can tell so far."

dissappointing boot,December 3, 2008
By cnyboater1from syracuse, ny
"Purchased the boots for deer hunting in the northeast. The boots kept my feet warm and dry, but the snaps at the top kept coming open when you walked in them very annoying trying to snap them up all the time with heavy gloves on. Also the side zipper gets stuck on the inside material. WHen i first tried them on and pulled the elastic ties at the top of the boots the one side tore out looks like it was never sewn in properly."

Don't Buy This Boot!,November 23, 2008
By AiredaleGuyfrom Central PA.
"I expected more from Scent Blocker, especially at this price. I bought the boot and washed them with a scent free hunters soap and wore them to my stand the very next weekend. I cross an old barb wire fence on my way to my stand, a couple small bucks came down along the fence in early evening and STOPPED right where I stepped over the old fence. That night it rained and the next morning I wasn't 150yrds from my truck and I could feel the water seeping in.
