"I bought these boots for hunting small game and wish I hadn't. I only wore these twice and now they are leaking like a sieve and the soles have separated from the tops of the boot. What a piece of junk. I bought these same boots back in 2006 and loved them so much that I bought a new pair and the quality is definitely not the same. The first pair was great but the second pair isn't worth five bucks. Good thing Rocky has a one year warranty on defective boots. I can't wait to see how their customer service will handle this problem."

Soles Fall Apart!!!, October 13, 2009

"After about two seasons, the soles have litterally started to break down and tear away in chunks and peices. It is almost unbelievable how ridiculous they have become. It's as if the soles were made of some foam-type material that is decaying. They have worn off the front of both boots about an inch or more. And I mean it is COMPLETLY missing! They only thing left is the stiching that used to hold the sole on. Rocky boots? Never again."

"I have a pair of these boots and after just 2 years, the soles started falling apart. I was not hard on them. This was just normal, NON-everyday use. I would not recommend these at all. Very disapointed!!!"

"Just had the boots for a few weeks ,so far no problems. very comfortable and light on feet and keep my feet dry. Had the bearclaw 800 series 3-4 years , tough boot . so i'll see how these new 1000g are."

Poor Quality, December 28, 2008

"This is the 2nd pair of Bear Claw boots in the last few years I owned and this newer version seems like the quality went downhill. I have leaks in both boots and end up with wet feet if I encounter wet areas, something that never happened in the older styles. I don't know if they changed manufacturing or something but the quality is not what I paid for. This is the last Rocky product I will own. The only good thing about these boots are they work great in dry terrain and you will never slip or have problems climbing with these."

"These boots provide the best traction and stability for hunting steep mountains. Also, the gortex water proof guarantee was a big seller for me and they are comfortable to. My feet still got cold but don't know if I had the right socks."

"The boots are great as far as tread design. I found them easy to climb with though apt to accumulate mud in open fields etc. They are easy to put on and off. and they flex easily at the top of the foot to make for easy walking. I tried on many pairs at the Hoffman estates store and these were the best. I hunt primarily whitetail deer coyotes and turkey. Good hunting"

"I would caution anyone who would be considering a purchase of these boots. They leak after only a short period of time as the sole design is not sufficient. I had seperation of the soles on both boots, causing my feet to be wet and cold. I expected more durability on a boot that cost this much. I was really disapointed."

"These boots are not worth the money. My experience with these boots are the soles fall apart on every pair I have had. Every pair has leaked within 6 months. Would not recommend for any cold weather or wet terrain. Will not keep your feet warm or dry."
