"These ARE a great product for layering. They keep you warm and at the same time you won't need many more layers. My only problem was getting used to the feel of wool again, a few washings and they are soft and VERY warm. Living in Alaska the weather changes often and this was a very reliable layer to my winter clothing wear."

"Well made, but not as thick as I had thought. I wore them over a pair of cotton/wool long johns and another pair of wool ones and under heavy wool pants and my legs still got a little cold while skiing at -40 into a stiff wind on the Yukon River. They were just right alone under the wool pants at -30 in the woods, though."

Great Base layer- warm and dry,January 6, 2009

"I live 300 yards from the base of the north side of Mont Tremblant Ski area in Northern Quebec, and it gets VERY cold at the top of the 2185ft ski hill at 7:30 am when the chairlift opens. Below -15 degress with wind is more common than unusual. This garment is well fitted, warm and comfortable! I Could not be more pleased! for the price, you will never do better! NB: it is scratchy if you have sensitive skin, my wife has to wear a layer of Lifa or another tight fitting layer beneath it. No big deal to do, and well owrth the extra warmth!"
