"The Power Dogg is very sturdy and easy to use. It has an excellent assortment of sounds (by Randy Anderson!)and I have personally proven that it is plenty loud enough to call in coyotes from over three miles away. But then again, that coyote only did it once!
The "bull-horn" type speaker is very directional. I believe that may prompt some to say that it isn't very loud. Unless you orient the caller to point directly at you (why would you?) you just don't get the full effect of the volume, but the dogs do!
My wireless remote works fine out to at least 130 yds (the farthest I've tried). I've done 10 different stands over a two week period and I'm still on my first set of batteries. Still working great.
The Power Dogg will probably be the only electronic call I ever need. At less than one quarter the price of a FoxPro FX-5, it does everythnig I want it to.

"unit did not work with supplied batteries. tried energizers no luck. tried dura cell ultra and it worked for about 3 hrs. all sets of batteries worked perfectly in other things. unit quit working next day ruined weekend hunt. cabelas is sending a new one for this weekend. hopefully this weekend does not get ruined. when it did work i thought it was ok. after reading other reviews kinda sounds like this item doesnt have any quality control from the factory. will give a recommendation cause i thought it was ok when it did work."

"I have not shot a yote yet but I need to sighted my rifle in. Will start hunting next month. The fur is on the thin side. I have scared a bunch of my friends. I got a Park Ranger to stop and he was wanting to put that hurt yote out of his misery. We have had alot of fun. The call is easy to use and sounds very real. Got a flock of geese to circle twice. I have been having so much fun I may not have to hunt. It is easy on batteries, too. LOL"

"Unit received in good condition and easy to set up. Used it twice to call crows and coyotes. Wind was calm on both days. Difficult to hear crow call from about 20 yds away, and rabbit distress call was faint at 40 yds. volume for Jackrabbit distress call was good. Returned unit to Cabelas for refund."

"I almost did buy this unit after reading reviews here and on other sites. Not sure about all the fuss with the volume being not loud enough, but the volume is great. I got it took itto my back pourch to play. Called my hunting partner a little latwr nad asked if he heard the dogs. He said hey I was going to call you to go out and try for them. My friend lives almost 1 mile away and we are in the mountains and he heard the call. I put it 80yards away and had no problem hearing all the selections. Took it across the street to the national forest about half hour before dark and played the challenge bark and then a pup in distress. Had a yote come running at about 50 yards. Turned it off so as not to teach him to much and waited about a couple of minutes. As i was getting up to pick up the call i had other yotes give me the challange call from about 75 > 100 myards off and coming my way. I could not be happier with this call. The sound if clearer than my friends way more expensive unit and the volume is plenty loud!!!."

"Excellent!! At first, I was doubting the capabilities of the caller from other reviews. The day it came in, I loaded the batteries and did some tests, everything was fine. The next day I went out to set up and a frozen pond here in Alaska to see if I could call the wolves i'd been after for months. I had the caller 120 yds. from me and had no remote problems. The volume is as loud as I need it, but might seem low on the windy days.
So far, it has not called in any wolves, but I will soon be trying it out at night when they are most active. Not sure if they'll buy off on it, but it's worth a shot. I know its for the yotes, and I bet it would do fine on them with the nice and crisp sounds, but the wolves, thats a whole different story.

"This call WORKS. I've had good luck with all of Primos products for the most part. I find their videos to be particularly helpful regarding calling techniques. I seem to be able to do the mouth call hurt rabbit call well however if you seem to have issues with mouth calls like the howls this is the answer to not getting the wrong tone and having them knock you off. "This is very user friendly. No wires and can change calls with the push of a button from a remote location. Only shortcoming is not able to turn on from a remote location, but I started with volume on 1 and turned up once I was hidden. Hunted all day and into evening and batteris held up as well."

"The call works great. After reading other reviews i was woundering if it was loud enough. Some other people had said it was not quite loud enough. I found it loud enough but not as loud regular mouth howlers. I have used it quite a bit and found the battery life good. The only thing i found i didn't like was the buttons seemed cheap. Sometimes they jam and sometimes they don't. You have to press them just right. I would buy this call again. The sounds are what you would expect from a caller like Randy Anderson."

"The first time I tried the call was after dark the same day I received the it.Got quite a response from a pack of coyotes. Easy to operate although it is hard to use with gloves on.Great call for the money.Would recomend to any one."
