Not good,February 23, 2009
By tipuptomfrom mentor , ohio
"This caller dosen't have the volume to be heard at 50 yrds. the speaker is too small. When turned up to near max. the distortion makes it tuff to tell what it is your playing.
This unit is also under powered , the 6 AA batteries gave out after one or two short calling sequences, 30 - 45 seconds long. Sure the day was chilly 28 - 32 F but the caller is still far less than I expected. Keep your money in your pocket."

Not what I hoped for.,February 10, 2009
By hammerandnail
"Although the Western Rivers electronic call came with a good variety of calls, when I try to raise the volume on calls like the crow calls, the speaker can not handle a high volume. the sound drives most things in the other direction. The sad thing is I could do a better job with a $10 crow call."

not bad for the money,February 3, 2009
By roadsaver
"overall it is a fairly good product but it has some bad qualities. at high volume the speaker gives up. distorts the sounds. at longer ranges you sometimes are able to reach it with a signal but it is unconsistent. at night it is hard to see the control panel. it probably is not that bad for a low end product."

"I installed new batteries in the unit and after very little use, the battery power was quite low. I feel that with a full day of hunting, two to possibly three sets of batteries will be required."

Western Rivers Day Stalker Electronic Call,January 11, 2009
By ANDYBBfrom Missouri
"Wanted a lower priced caller to take the place of a homemade ecaller. This looked like the one as it had the MP3 option of adding my own sounds. Seemed ok in the house but when we went outside to test it out the remote would not go farther than 15-18 yards, and that was in an open field, no obstructions. Changed battery in the remote. No better. Got a little more distance from the remote (maybe 10 feet) hanging it in a tree about 4' high. Volume was OK, not great. Easy to interface with USB cord and add and delete sounds. Thought about trying another Day Stalker but just decided on a refund from Cabelas and may bite the bullet on a more expensive brand."

"call was a real dissapointment.the speaker is of such poor quality, that it cant be used at any volume level above about half of the capacity of the call. Used it on one hunt, on one set and that was it. will take it back for a refund and try another brand."

Real Nice,December 13, 2008
By WolfManALfrom Genoa, Oh
"I have had the Predation and this call. Have had no problem with either the Predation did not charge right all the time, that's why I got this one this time. have called in many deer, coyote, and even wolfs with this call. It is real nice. that's why they call me Wolfman AL cause up in Canada I called more wolves than i wanted ( 40 ). and I did not have enough arrows with me. (only thing I hunt with) if it can out smart 40 wolves it must work!"

No sound,December 9, 2008
By yaplessfrom Georgia
"Something is wrong with this unit. It came in a timely manner, but both attempts to use it failed. Two trips to field ruined because the unit shuts itself off after a few seconds. It indicates low battery power though I've purchased AA's in two premium brands."

Electronic Squaller!,October 8, 2008
By bbesslerfrom cumberland, wa
"Boy did I have high hopes since spending so much more then the very less expensive models available. On crows it worked to get rid of them after I used it they havent come back since. I bought it for revenge on nieghborhood coyotes after they attacked a friends chihauwa and the scared the horses in the field. No varmints though and I hid were the critters have come within 40' of me before. Very tinny sound and when set at a loud enough level to be heard at a distance becomes distorted from WR's own library CD. If my son had not ruined packing it would have sent it back. A very bad investment to be sure cause it cant git er done."
