Moultrie Game Camera Tree Mount,September 7, 2009
By PennHunterfrom PA
"This screw-in tree mount looked sturdy. The swivel head is well made and the lag screw is approximatley 3/8 diameter. The first time out the lag screw sheared as I was screwing it into a pine tree and that was with a drilled pilot hole. I am going to return it for a replacement because I think the product is a good idea."

Great product!,September 2, 2009
By Jason11from Wisconsin
"I have one location that I like to have a camera and the best tree in that spot is a birch tree that is leaning at a 45 degree angle. The strap that comes with the I-40 wouldn't work on a tree like that. With this mount you can put it on any tree! I will be getting a couple more!"

Moultrie tree mount,June 22, 2009
By PrestonMfrom Seattle, WA
"This mount is a pretty clever design, but falls a little short on how the camera (or at least the Moultrie D-series) attaches to the mount - with little bungee cords! It's awkard enough on a ladder on uneven ground without the camera swinging around on it's bungee cord mounts! Most newer cameras may have mounting holes you could bolt them to the mount with, which would be way better.
I also bought a Trail-Pod mount, which is way easier to assemble while on a ladder, but cannot accomodate a D-series camera, as it requires a bolt from the back.
So, in summary - If you have a Moultrie D-series camera, buy this mount. If you have a newer Moultrie or other camera which accomodates mounting screws, buy the Trail-Pod.
Also, Moultrie products in general have been very reliable for me, and their customer service is OUTSTANDING."

moultrie game camera tree mount screw,January 26, 2009
By bim345from Texas
"Great concept and I like the ease and mobility that it provides by moving to different locations. The swivel mount is awesome so you can adjust the camera to whatever angle you want. But like the other reviews, my threaded screw broke off in no time. I'm going to have to weld a stronger screw onto it."

Mountrie Game Camera Tree Mount,September 29, 2008
By dennyb07from Pennasylvania
"I Rated this Device a 2 Star because the first time I screwed in the arm device the screw end broke off. I found that the arm device is cheap medal which cannot stand the pressure of screwing into soft or hard trees. NOW, what I done was I found a local welder, they straighten the arm device and welded two heavy duty medal rings (same size as the arm device). After they welded the device, I painted the device black. NOW I can attached the arm device using a strap (crank) around the tree of any size and tighten as tight as I wish. Then I can attached the swivel device to the arm and then the CAMERA. The reason I done all this was because I really like the swivel device for I can attach the whole unit to any shape tree and with the swivel I can set the Camera straight with the swivel. I would recommend this device higher if the arm device was made out of heavier medal which can stand all the abuse of hard and soft trees. With all the fixing the arm device now the Tree Mount works really good."

Weak,September 1, 2008
By poorboy2from Jefferson City MO
"The tree mount great idea but the screw it self is pretty much junk had to weld new threads that go in the tree on the first time I used it. They broke about half way in while mounting to an oak tree."

Moultrie Game camera mount.,June 28, 2008
By Dekonfrom Dayton,Oregon
"This mount is extremely versital. There is not an angle you cannot correct for on any thing you can put the lag screw of the mount into. The attaching lag works much like a tree stand climbing step. You can mount your camera upside down, sideways or at any angle you choose. Very well worth the cost. The more you use it the more you will like it. If you put the mount upside down you can use the base plate to attach folage to mask the out line of the camera. Infinate adjustability"
