Unregulated Heat,November 11, 2009
By paulrrtfrom Casper, WY
"I purchased the single burner unit to use with my Ultimate Turkey Cooker. Unfortunately, the heat output of the burner is all or nothing, which is not really that useful, unless welding. There are many hoops to jump through in order to get a new regulator (assuming that is the problem, of course). I will most likely buy something totally different for a replacement stove, and I definitely would not recommend this item to anyone."

3 burner cook stove,June 16, 2009
By tpring4from Southern Illinois
"We bought it as a gift for our son's birthday and he loved it. He used it the next weekend for a big cookout and he said it was so much easier with the 3 burners and saved time too. All his friends were impressed with it also. Thanks for providing such a great product."

CAMPING PLEASURE,March 24, 2009
By LOANSTARJOEfrom HOUSTON, TEXAS
"We used the 3 burner King Kooker Camp Stove hooked to a 30 pound propane cylinder for a week of camping. It was used in conjunction with the double burner griddle to cook pancakes, bacon, sausage, eggs, toast, etc. The stove was also used to fry fish in a cast iron dutch oven as well as to heat dish water in a large stock pot. The stove performed very well and it is very nice to have extra burners when you need them."

Problem Stove,December 9, 2008
By casey04
"This unit is a two burner stove; but thus far I've only ever been able to light one burner. The other gas valve assembly does not allow any gas through when in the open position. I live some distance from Cabelas, Hamburg, PA and haven't been able to take the unit back. I called King Cooker in Louisiana and they told me two things: 1) take a paper clip and see if there is anything in the metal tubing just prior to the burner 2) Send it back (but only if I have the sales slip). My wife bought the unit beginning of Sep and I tried it in October; we haven't located the Cabelas sales slip. Looks like I'll have to fork out additional monies in order to get the other burner working........nice."

"We have had one of these for many years and literally wore it out! We cooked at camp and in our back yard when we wanted to fry fish or shrimp and not grease up the house. It cooks just like a good gas range. We love it and can't live without it!"

King Kooker,November 18, 2008
By BWCAHarvfrom Hudsonville, Michigan
"I recently purchased the King Kooker for our remote deer camp. We did all of our cooking on this unit and it did function without problem. Overall the unit is well constructed and durable. I particularly appreciated the way the legs assembled into the stove. I have three main complaints however. First, I do not care for the baffle plates that fit over the burners. One of the plates was bent when I received the unit. I did my best to straighten it but it is not perfect and pans rock on the plate. It took several cook sessions to burn all of the powder coat off the plates which was very annoying due to the smell and smoke created by the burning paint. I have checked the directions twice and still wonder if these plates are really meant to be placed on the burners as shown. My second complaint is the flame adjustment knobs. The flame is difficult to adjust because of the back pressure on the knobs. My third complaint is minor but the legs should be three inches longer to bring the cook surface to a more comfortable height."

King Kooker needs improvement!,October 1, 2008
By GarlicGrampafrom Cle Elum WA
"This item is not what we expected. We weren't really happy with the way it cooked. When we tried to put it into storage position per instructions, we could not do it because the center bolt included wasn't anywhere near long enough to accommodate the windscreen and legs under the bracket! We returned the item to Cabela's for an exchange."

"Not enough heat to boil large pots of corn/water. Works well for small items."
