Deepest penetration,February 25, 2009
By coydoggerfrom Adirondack Mts. NY
"I test fired these pellets against 12 other types by various manufacturers. These were all either pointed or some type of rounded or pointed hollow points. I fired several of each type into a thick soft cover book, and compared pages penetrated. The PBA Raptor was the impressive winner, with only two others coming close. The Raptors stayed dead straight, with no noticeable deformity. The lack of expansion may seem negative to some, but none of the hollow points I tested exhibited any sign of "mushrooming", just barely began to slightly expand. Several of the others also were keyholing. I used a 900 fps springer at 25 feet. Longer range testing comes next, but for now, the Raptors are well worth the extra cost."

Very poor product,February 17, 2009
By ScubaBobfrom Northern Wisconsin
"These are advertised as a high velocity, deep penetrating pellet. They accomplish this with a super lightweight pellet that is a sloppy fit in the barrel. It may be fast, but you will not hit a basketball from 30 yards! This from an RWS 48 that will group in 2" with domed pellets."

GAMO .22 cal PBA,February 13, 2009
By JohnnyFYGfrom DFW, Texas
"Not good for high powered Rifles. They generally fly all over the place. I tried them at 20 - 30 - 40 & 50 yards. I use a Shin Sung Career III 707 (.22) and they seem to group better with the power dialed all the way down. GAMO should have made these heavier rounds for the higher powered guns.. These would probably be better using weaker air guns. I won't buy these again simply because they are very inaccurate as well as waaaaay overpriced. OK, maybe I'll get some just to have them in my bag...he he!! I do like the crack that it makes when it goes ultra."

pellets,November 28, 2008
By bulldogdanny
"the pellets are nice i cant say that i see it as a top end pellet to get, they are gold plated, i didnt notice that it was only 50 pellets when i got them i guess i over looked that, i feel if your going to hunt with a pellet or anythign like that it has to be something that your use to shooting, for the price i dont think id get these to much to use them all the time, thats just me, cant say i found anything wrong with them, just high for only getting 50"

Don't waste your time.,November 28, 2008
By jazzcasterfrom Louisiana
"If I could have given 0 stars I would. I have an RWS 54 that shoots 1/4 inch groups at 20 yards with Crosman Premier pellets. Those pellets will penetrate 3/4 plywood at that distance. Raptors shot 3.5 inch groups (yes, three and a half inch) and that is charitable sinch 3 out of ten pellets missed the backstop entirely! None of the 20 Raptors that I shot penetrated the 3/4 plywood. These pellets are gimmicky and cost about 10 times more than better, lead pellets."

rws dianna poor pellet,October 25, 2008
By tanookifrom oklahoma
"These pellets were loose in the chamber--so much so that they just fall out. When you shoot them you never know if they will go straight out, left, right, or behind you! Really, they were terrible in this gun--totally inaccurate at 25 yards--couldn't even get on paper in 8 out of 9 shots. Cabela's brand of hollowpoint was far superior as was the .22 polypellet. This is an overpriced, worthless piece of ammo in the rws gun."

Amazing!,October 6, 2008
By Dito747from Florida,Orange City
"This Raptors worked extremely well in my .22 350 Magnun Rws.The penetration and acuracy is excellent. The only concern about this raptors are:they are always lose in the barrel hole and secondly they are not as accurate in long distance like the raptors .177.I dont know if the problem is that this pellets travels a slower velocity than the .177.The manufacturer must pay attention to our comments because the uniformity of this raptor.I think that the correct die will fix the problem. But certainly is the best pellet in .22."

Squirrel Chaser,September 29, 2008
By Cierrafrom Columbus, OH
"The Gamo .22 Cal PBA Raptor Ammo is a great squirrel chaser. I've been looking for .22 ammo for my CO2 gun for some time. I found the old lead flat head ammo would sometimes get stuck in the chamber when loading. I haven't had any problems with the Gamo .22 Cal PBA Raptor Ammo and it finds it's target much faster and delivers a much harder enforcement. Thanks, I'll be purchasing more."
