Delivers instantaneous distance readings from 5 to 999 yards on reflective objects (300 yards on deer-sized animals and 600 yards to trees). The VLR II has both BullsEye and Scan mode. BullsEye mode obtains the distances of small targets such as blades of grass and tree branches without inadvertently measuring the distance of background targets. When more than one object is acquired, the closer of the two objects is shown within the LCD. Also, by pressing and holding the button down, Scan mode activates and allows you to obtain numerous readings while scanning the rangefinder. "The ARC is great for bow hunting. I've used it a number of times from a tree stand and it works really well. I've also used it on the praire for deer and antelope and it has proven to be quite helpful. For the price, it is hard to go wrong."

"I've used this range finder during my archery target practice. It performs well and is very accurate. I’ve used it in varying light conditions, including at dusk and it perform very well. "The Cabela's VLR II Laser Rangefinder is a high quality product that takes the guess work out of which pin to use while bowhunting. Made by Bushnell, the quality and reputation of Cabela's brand merchandise made this an easy choice for my purchase.
The rangefinder is simple to use and simple to read. It will be great for my kids this fall when they climb in the tree for their first bowhunts. I currently own another rangefinder that I like a lot, but this one will fit into my pocket and make it easy to carry afield.

"I read a lot of articles and reviews. I know Bushnell has a good name and Cabela's to back it up. It's all that I could expect and have thus far been very satisfied. It is easy to use and precise. If you can be very steady and precise about what you are ranging it will give a very good return. I use mine for setting range markers for inbound varmints and I know it has helped me to be more deadly."
