Travel Anywhere,November 10, 2009
By Max45from Florida
"Just came back from a cruise that began in Quebec. I took these pants along to save space in case I needed shorts. It was cold and snowed in Canada and I wore these pants, without long underwear, and didn't feel cold. I thought then they would be too warm when we got further south. Not true! They were comfortable even when it was warm in Charleston and Florida. I figure the fabric must somehow adapt to outside weather conditions. The only drawback: zippering the lower leg part on while still wearing the pants. I had trouble while on my bass boat. Had to maneuver my body in awkward positions. I should have taken them off and done the job. It's a lot easier. Lots of pockets to the extent I would forget which one I put stuff into. Well made and durable."

Convertible Pants,September 1, 2009
By PDH6from Rocklin, CA
"After reading others reviews about how the pant's fit, I bought a size up. Out of the box they fit a little snug in the groin, but didn't seem to be a problem back packing. The zippers are good and the fabric seems a little more durable than other manufactures I've used."

Great Pants!,August 22, 2009
By inajeepfrom Bucks Co., PA
"I've had these for a year now and love them. The material is very durable, quick drying, light weight and virtually wrinkle free. The legs zip on and off very easily and are labeled "L" and "R" to take out the guess work. I wear them hiking often as well as canoeing. Great fit and one of the best "built in" belts I've ever had in shorts or pants. North Face truly is quality. Plenty of pocket space to carry all of the essentials."

north face paramount convertible pants,August 10, 2009
By beaniemasterfrom shelbyville, michigan
"great pants-- they have enough pockets to keep all your junk. just finished hiking with them out west, baniff, and jasper. they held up well.. walking in brush and thornes they never ripped. i usually wear x- large but these pants come plenty big and i had to send the x-large back and ordered the large size which fits great. they have some water resistance but are not waterprof made of nylon, these pants however dry extemely fast."

Excelllent Pants,March 23, 2009
By GhostLakefrom Hayward, WI
"These pants are very well made, have deep pockets, color coded right and left leg zippers, and a good buckle. Very sturdy material that should withstand a lot of abuse. May want to order one size larger than normal."

Uncomfortable fit,October 27, 2008
By fowlernefrom Nebraska
"I tried these pants for a day and found that the rise was too short for me. When I was sitting they were extremely tight and uncomfortable in the crotch. I am not heavy...6' and 175# so that's not the reason. There needs to be more room in that area."

Great Fabric Weak Thread,August 9, 2008
By KCBackpackerfrom Kansas City, MO
"We purchased 5 pair (two for me and three for both sons). We wear them while backpacking. They are great for cool mornings and evenings and hiking shorts during hot afternoons. They are lightweight and easily packed.
The thread on the seat seam of several pair broke and unraveled. We returned the pants to Cablea's for replacement. My wife resewed all pairs seat seams with good quality poly thread and they now hold up as they should have new."
