Scentblocker Outfitter Jacket/Pants,October 26, 2009
By Cru3from Fonthill, Ontario, Canada
"Recently purchased the Outfitter series jacket and pants combo and put them to the test over the past week on two deer bowhunts. Initially, due to past reviews i was concerned about these being noisy garments, but i needed something that would block my scent and offer waterproof capabilities so i decided to give these a try. Im and avid bowhunter and i will be wearing this gear 90% of the time. Yesterday i was confronted with a monster doe and a fawn. I had these two deer literally right under my stand for over five minutes before the doe offered me a shot. I eventually was able to draw on her when she was 8 yards away and the shot presented itself at 23 yards. This gear was extremely quiet and these deer were none the wiser, both within 10 yards of my stand when i drew back. Im extremely pleased with it and am more of a believer in scent blocker than i have ever been. Its comfortable as well as very functional and the fleece zip out liner in the jacket is an awesome addition. At this price, dont hesitate to buy, youll love it.
Cheers"

"Haven't used it yet but seems to be top quallity. I like the fact that there is a zip out liner. I also bought the pants, too bad they don't have a zip out liner. maybe in the future."

More junk - buy raingear instead!!,February 17, 2009
By Xringshooterfrom South Western New York
"As with the pants, this thing is a joke!!! Wouldn't repel the sap from the tree let alone rain!!!! Also, what's up with the thin, unusable, velcro arm guard? If it was for bowhunters, it would be anything but velcro!! The only good thing about this garment is the zip in fleece vest. Though it will not keep you dry............"

Great jacket for bow hunting.,January 2, 2009
By kklhfrom Pueblo, Colorado
"Bought and it is exceptional for bow hunting. I've had no problems with noise it's been an extemely quiet jacket for me. Im a believer that the hunter is responsible for most of the noise he creates not the jacket. I have not spooked one deer because of noise from the jacket , and they've been within 5 yds of me at full draw. I believe it's the best all weather scent control jacket on the market. This is 100% waterproof, and wind proof. The pants are great too. Scentblocker imakes awsome scent control clothes."

WARM AND COZY,December 13, 2008
By qqaafrom APTO BARRIE ONTARIO CANADA
"THIS JACKET IS MY FRIST SCENT BLOCKER ITEM TO PURCHASE, AND IAM VERY HAPPY WITH IT, IT WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE TO GET IT ON SELL, BUT IT DID KEEP ME VERY WARM ON THAT ONE MORNING @ -17 C, THE POCKETS COULD BE A LITTLE DEEPER, AND A REMOVEABLE HOOD WOULD BE NICE. GREAT ITEM FOR THOSE COLDER CLIMATES."

Noisy, noisy, noisy ...,December 8, 2008
By KSbwhtrfrom Central KS
"I am very disappointed on how noisy this jacket & pant set are. The pants--whoosh, whoosh, whoosh sound while walking, any weed or thicket that brush up against them produce game spooking noise. The jacket--when I reached for my bow to attempt a shot on a very good buck that popped out unexpectedly, the velcro noise it made when the fabric pulled away from the tree bark sent him running, hunt over. The pockets for your hands are too small. Yes, the scentblock works to an extent, and the product looks and feels good, but that in no way outweighs the importance of quiet gear, especially for bowhunting. An expensive lesson for not buying my camo in person."

Good buy needs some minor improvements,October 23, 2008
By straigharrowfrom Ellwood City, Pa
"Bought the Jacket for archery and it is a good buy. Its warm, comfortable, and keeps you dry. The zip out fleece makes it versitile for weather changes. I like the slit for the safety harness. I used my license holder pin to keep it in place which makes dressing a little quicker. The arm guard is also nice. Some improvements are needed though. The jacket seems a bit bulky like it feels with air. The hood needs to be removeable and the collar gets in the way if you use a kisser button. I tuck the collar in to keep it out of the way because you don't want to change your anchor point. Definately shoot with it on before you go hunting. The zippers aren't to loud as long as your careful. Overall I would recommend this jacket, but it always pays to shop around."

Needs a little improvement,September 22, 2008
By PhoneProfrom 61 year old treestand bow hunter, Bath, N.H.
"I have recently purchased and used Cabela's Scent Blocker Outfitter Series S3 jacket and pants in Realtree AP during N.H.'s early bow season.( Cat # 93-2946 and ....47 )I have a closet full of camo clothing and have not been satisfied with purchases in the past.(not all were from Cabela's) After a year long search I decided to give the pricey Outfitter Series a try. The clothing fits well and is very comfortable, quiet and warm enough with layering for temps in the mid 30's if the wind is light. I like this Camo clothing and would recommend it. It does need some refinement. I'll explain: The zippers are noisy with 7 on the pants and 4 on the jacket and the hood needs one so that it can be removed. I did not care for the zipper attached left or right arm guard. It's not needed. The sleeve could fit a little tighter. Most bowhunters have their own arm guard. The velcro wrist straps are tacky with elongated slots that display the yellow Scent Blocker Logo. Quiet snaps would be great here with a little elastic help. There is heavy or double stitching in areas that need it and the material is rugged. It's too early to tell if the camo will fade after sun exposure and washings. The pantleg zippers are nice for over boots but go beyond my knees and could be shortened. A built in blousing rubber with fastening hooks instead of velcro straps at the ankles would be nice."
