"A bit pricy for the quality. The units usually need to be modified to fit the Moultie D-40 camera and I expect the I-40 also for which I'm ordering another one for. An "up & down" alighnment adjustment on the back of the unit would be beneficial and a heavier cable and lock also. Better than nothing I guess."

"I recently lost a $280 Moultri set up. The box and lock system are cheap. I went to retrieve my memory card and the camera, cable, and lock box where gone. It angers me to think how easy it was for someone to walk off with $280. The camera I was satified with, but don't waste your time with the box. Make one out of cardboard. It is just as strong!"

"So much for my trail camera being somewhat secure!! This "so-called" Security box was stolen, too!! I had it screwed to the tree, the "security cable and lock" in place and when I wnt to get it all last night, it was gone!! Don't know if it is worth it to even get another game camera!!"

"I have 2 of these and will order another one today with another order of my 3rd game camera. I have 2 Moultrie 5.0 outfitter cameras and they fit in this case fine. I think the cable is sufficient and you can always get another lock to put on it. I use foam to put my camera on and on both sides to keep camera from moving. This works good. You can always paint the case, too, if you want. I don't think deer are really able to see the black as a standout color. They will always be alert to anything new no matter what color, but when they get used to it, they will come right up to it. I have my camera in this case, and I have some pictures of the deer right up on it. So it doesn't scare them much. I recommend this camera case. For the money, it is a good case. It may not be as secure as a bank vault, but then crooks will still the camera no matter what if they really want it. Locks are only for the honest. Crooks will get it no matter what."

"Wow, This box is way bigger than it need's to be for any camera. I like to Hide Camera/box in a backpack when hiking in. Better have a big pack for this heavy chunk of steel. Better plan on a better locking system like I did. I could give my 11yr. old a screwdriver and he could break into this. And Moultrie's idea of locking is a 1 size fit all cable, and cheesy lock. It's not secure by any mean's. The strap they send with it will break the 1st time.And why would they put the lock tab off to 1 side instead of in the center? I guess the more trailcam's/box's stolen the more money they make? Why would you paint a box Black? it stand's out like a sore thumb. What a joke.And their camera's are a different story. I'm sure glad cabela's returned them both. Thanks Cabelas."

"The box that I received is not like the one advertised. The Moultrie Gamespyi40 does not fit correctly in the box! It is impossible to strap the camera in squarly and screw to tree. IF and I do mean IF you find a way to do this, it is impossible to access to camera controls. I bought this box because it is specifically for Moultrie. DO NOT get this box. And it is not made in the USA."

"Very well built, secure box. Easy to install to a tree. It has protected my expensive cameras from many curious elk, and bears. The scratch marks prove it. I have pictures of elk rubbing their velvet off on the edges. Black bears pawing, and chewing on it too. The only thing it lacks is a camo finish to blend in better. It really stands out against a tree. Some camo tape fixed that problem though. I would recommend this to anyone with a camera."

"This a great item for the Moultrie trail camera and a must if your using it over bear bait.It's quite large but necessary for this style camera. Bears are very curious so I had to make a few modifications to keep the camera solid inside. The wimpy strap may work for deer or smaller creatures but it's useless for bear.The price is some what pricey but it is worth it's price in gold if a bear is trying to rip it off the tree."

"I have one of these for each of my five Game Spy 4.0 cameras. They will do little to stop a determined thief, but are superb at protecting cameras from bears! (I had one chewed and one destroyed before I started using these boxes.) Modifying the boxes by drilling a hole for the adjustment screw and enlarging the holes that align with the two "legs" on the back of the camera will keep it from shifting within the box. I also suggest that that the mounting strap be run though the round (cable) holes on the back of the camera and not the weak vertical slots that will break the first time you attempt to cinch a camera/box unit to a tree. These boxes are expensive for what you get, but much cheaper than replacing a camera!"

"This mount is nice for the money, but lacks in a few areas. It doesnt mount straight up to the moultrie 6.0 camera, and it also has nothing that will allow you to adjust the angle of the box against the tree, so you either have to wedge something behind the box or just put it low on a straight tree. I also had to custom drill holes in it to fit the 6.0 i mentioned, but other than that its a very strong durable box."
