"My 10-yr-old son loves this bow. It's a good one to build up strength and work on some basic techinique. The arrows are indeed pretty cheap. I gave him one of my aluminum arrows and it flies much better than the fiberglass chopsticks that come with it. For the money and for a kid, it's right on target."

"This product is an ok item for a young novice. I had to rebuild one of the arrows because the tip was missing and the other will not fit on the thick string.It works ok with other arrows. The finger tab is a little odd to but it works."

"This bow has no power you can stick it in a hay bal 1 out of like 20 shots. And one of the tips came of after only 3 shots. And the string is a piece of string giveing it hardly any power. Do the right thing and get a better bow you wont regret it."

"I am a seasond archer and also a archery instructor for youth My son was having a hard time holding the arrow on the rest so I thought I would try it. Unless you hold the bow at an angle the arrow has no support and easily falls off! I would never recomend this product to any of my students or anyone else."

"this is one great little bow. I was impressed with the quality, it was better that I expected. However, the arrows tend to splinter and get in your fingers! My son was saying 'OUCH!' after just a few days. Again, the bow is great but be prepared to replace the arrows."

Arrows won't stay on shelf,January 2, 2009

"Bought this for my 9 year old daughter. Didn't expect much for this price, but it is still a very disappointing product. Arrows don't stay on the shelf, they will fall off as soon as the string is pulled back. I'm no expert on archery, but I have shot enough to shoot decently. Even I had trouble shooting. Had to tilt the bow about 30 degrees to keep the arrow from falling off. Taking it back tomorrow.

"Bought the bow for my daughters ages 10 and 15 as a first bow to see if their interest was more than cursory and would warrant further investment. The BAD: 1 -The arrow shelf is insufficient for proper vane clearance - that vane on both arrows quickly ripped off. It further doesn't provide sufficient protection of the bow hand from that passing vane when it is intact. 2 - The holes in the finger tab are too small. The GOOD: These are easy fixes. 1 - The addition of a simple $3 stick-on arrow rest resolved both clearance issues. (The further addition of a nock set from my spare parts gave more consistent arrow flight and enhanced safety.) 2 - Cut the tab finger holes larger with any decent shears. Conclusion: Don't expect anyone to win the Olympics with this outfit. My girls have enjoyed it and it has given me the information I wanted; we will be upgrading in the near future. Money well spent, not wasted."

"Overall this bow is great for the price, My 5 year old shooting buddy has a little growing to do but can still shoot this bow decently. The arrows that come with the bow are ok but take the tips off and reglue with super glue, because they will be gone before you know it if you don’t."

"The bow is great for first timers or young beginners. But the 2 arrows are not the greatest. After only a few uses, the soft rubber "fins" start to peel away due to hitting the bow on release. Especially the one fin that is in line with the rest on the bow handle. I've had to trim both arrows' fins to get past the bow better and even crazy glue the fin back on. In this case - lousy design and very disappointing to my children who couldn't wait to get their hands on it. Just be prepared! You get only one paper target - pretty small - good for a few uses and the "quiver" is a joke."
