Beware the Safe Skies TSA Luggage Locks,September 29, 2009
By ColvinMfrom Virginia
"Bought the Safe Skies TSA locks to bring a rifle back from Idaho with the Aluminum gun case purchased from Cabelas. I read the instructions for setting the combo twice and then followed the instructions sequentially while setting the combo. First lock would then not open even though set properly. Went on to the second one. Did the same and it worked. Next morning TSA locked the case at the small Hailey airport. Got home, and the lock would not open. Used a hack saw to cut it off last night. This lock is junk. I would stay away from it."

"Feel product is poorly made. One would not set, did not work when received. Contacted manufacturer for help. Took multiple calls over several days to reach them. Left message on voice mail as requested but they never returned calls. When finally got a person they said they would send a replacement, still have not received."

Just as Advertised,May 14, 2009
By Goldfalcon6from North Carolina
"After reading some of the earlier low-star reviews, I was hesitant to purchase these. However, I read the instructions carefully before proceeding, followed the steps precisely, and I've been completely satisfied. I have five of them. I use them for locking my ammo storage boxes and rifle cases when in the home or on the way to the range. One one hand, I have not sent them through the airline security and luggage process, so I cannot speak to that experience. On the other hand, these locks all work correctly for the purpose for which I purchased them. Intend to buy a couple more next month."

STAY AWAY,February 21, 2009
By JTfromNJfrom Central NJ
"Same problem as others, one lock is permanently locked and unusable. Wish I would have read these review before purchase. They were an impulse buy when I bought my new travel gun case today. Not sure I want anybody having keys to my gun case anyway, even if it is TSA."

Light Weight - junk,December 15, 2008
By GrenellGirlsfrom Fairport, NY
"This is product is inferior at best. Very light duty. My lock broke into many pieces before my luggage reached TSA inspection. I had to scramble to find a new lock in order to check my rifle case."

Problems with setting the combination,October 21, 2008
By trvlghtr
"I successfully set a new combination on the first lock. After setting the first three dials on the second lock; I was rotating the fourth dial when the first dial also began to move causing it to be permanently locked and unusable. The steps for setting the combination are neither user friendly or forgiving."

The locks broke on the first trip,October 19, 2008
By ktrenthamfrom Eastern NC
"These locks broke on the first trip. Plastic gun case was not damaged, but these locks on the end of the gun case were broken when I arrived. I would not recommend them. If you have to use them, recommend you use reusable zip ties to make sure the gun case stays if these locks break"

"Great product, just read the instruction for setting the combination and you won't have any problems. Much cheaper than if you end up forgetting and have to purchase at the airport."

Ruined a Set,September 8, 2008
By PMasonfrom Rhode Island
"Just as one reviewer had explained, I ruined a set by moving the wheel just a hair, and now my combination will not open one lock. I had ordered three sets for my gun cases, and one set worked out just fine, wrecked the second set, and am afraid to even try the third set for fear I will ruin that set as well. But, I got them on sale, so all is not lost. I paid for three sets ( two sets now) what I would have paid for just one set at the regular price."
