Fishing Rod,

"The rod is the worst I've ever had. I was walking up the trail and the tip caught on the leaf of a small weed and snapped the first two feet right off, it didn't bend at all. This was the first day I used it."

Great Reel - Rod, Not So Much,

"I bought one of these for my Dad for Christmas. I liked the feel of them so much that my wife bought me one too. Looks can be deceiving however. The first time out the tip broke off of my Dad's rod. Mine worked for a few months and then today I snagged mine up and broke it in half. I only had 6lb test so it's not like I could really wrench on it. The reels are fantastic, really smooth, great drag but I would steer clear of the rods."

Great little reel,

"Watching the prices of my favorite reels pass the $100.00 mark, I decided to try one of Cabela's less expensive units and what a surprise. The Prestige handles and casts like much more expensive reels. Durability is yet to be proven but so far I am sold on the reel. I cannot say the same for the IM6 rod as it did not seem well balanced and the handle was to long - I quickly switched back to my old Berkely Lighting but that may just have been what I was used to."

Snapped it without much force,

"When purchasing for my daughters, I required something inexpensive but efficient to chase estuary species.
Was nice surprise to receive these little units and when chasing bream in our estuary , was impressed with their capabilities.
My 11 year old daughter played and caught 3 1/2 pound bream and 6 pound flathead nicely with these units.
Great value for money.

"i love this rod and reel combo i have never owned a cabelas reel and this is my fist this is like a cannon i casted great distances exalent price made very well if you were looking to get a rod i would recoment this one. buy it it is worth the price and then some."
