Solid mount, but problem with vibration,

"This mirror and mounting system is rock solid, and seems well built. Except....
The mirror itself is not firmly mounted in the housing, and at mid to high speeds the vibration blurs the view to the point of being unusable. I had to solve the problem by drilling a hole in the back of the mirror housing, and fill the space with expanding foam to hold everything still. That seems to have fixed the problem. For as much money as this mirror costs, this issue should have already been dealt with and fixed."

Great ATV Mirror,

"Great mirror that I rackmounted on my 2008 Yamaha BigBear 400. I ended buying 2 of them as we tend to drive our ATV on the roads here in Nunavut. Off trail is very rough and rocky terrain and the mirrors have not budged. They are not the most modern looking or fancy mirrors, but they do the job and are well fastened."

"Product seems of good quality and well made. The product includes several..at least three..possible mounting options. I was not able to use the "round bar" mounting, but was able to rig a good mounting with the utilization of the extra included plates, bolts, u-clamps."

"I installed this on my Honda ATV before leaving home for a 2 week Mich. U.P. hunting trip. Some vibration , but no more than expected . Good strong hardware and easy mounting. Never had to retighten or adjust anything. Good simple product that works."

"I tried two mounting locations, settling finally on the front load rack of my 05 Honda Foreman. The mirror mounting was solid, easy to adjust and held firmly once the jam nuts were tightened. I put on over 300 kms during the 10 day Northern Ontario late fall moose hunt, mostly through and down skidder trails and logging roads. The unit did not malfunction or break even after repeated abuses, however it did loosen up during use on two occasions.
I did not experience any problems normally associated with ATV extension mirrors, namely obscuration due to vibration. The rear view was clear and displayed very minimal vibration with no distortion."

"The mad dog mirror worked much better than I expected. It was bulit in such a way that there were several ways to mount it to the ATV so you can see what is going on behind you. Three or four of us ride together on a regular basis and I like knowing on what is going on behind me. I would have given it a 5 star rating, but it vibrates a little more than expected. May be the the ATV, not the mirror. The others that I ride with will be ordering them soon."

"Far exceeded our expectations. The product itself appears to be of excellant quality and durability. Installed these mirrors on the rack of both my wife's and my ATV in very short order. Adjustments for viewing were a snap.
Used this past week on some very rough trails, and were very pleased with the results.
Hope to never again ride an ATV without mirrors. Not only are they clearly a safety element, but they can also eliminate that awful neck pain resulting from constantly turning to see what is behind you."
