"buying the trail tamer 2500 winch was one of the best things I've purchased in awhile.I had previously bought a winch from my atv dealer. I used it for one year to plow my drive way and one time to pull my atv out of the mud. It fell apart on the machine.We had to get another atv to pull me out.[yes, he had a warn winch].The dealer would not honor the warranty without the receipt so I was in a bind.I called cabelas and ordered the trailer tamer 2500.It took about three hours to mount and hook up the electrical. the instructions were easy to follow and pretty straight forward. I was suprised how quiet and how much more power it had compared to my other winch.I should of remembered what my Dad had said to me . You by quality once and junk many times over.This warn made winch is quality and at a very good price. I look forward to many years of use from this winch."

"this winch is a good deal for the price, I installed in alittle over an hour. cabelas mounting plate fit perfect. I put this on a sportsman 800 that was prewired from the factory for a winch."

"The Trail Tamer Extreme 2,500 lb. winch is a great addition to my 2008 Yamaha Grizzly 450. It gets me out of any jam without any problems. Installing it wasn't too much of a chore; a few adjustments, but nothing major. Could use better instructions, but all of the wiring connections are color coded so its makes wiring it very easy. Good product, good price!"

"I purchased this one after studying other options and recommendations by others. It's been a great product. I have pulled myself out of a deep creek crossing with no problems. I have used it with my 60" plow and it works great there as well. Installation wasn't as hard as I feared it would be. Wiring was the hardest part. Getting wires run and tucked away from damage was a little challenging. The instructions were pretty generic, not much specific to my application (Polaris Sportsman)."
