It's very nice from a distance,

"It took a couple of month to come since it was back ordered although it did not say that on the web.
The lamp looks very nice from a distance but you should not take a close look at. If you do so, then you can find it cheap. But overall, it fits in our open floor large living room. It is nice for the price."

"We got these lamps for our new guest room in the Colorado mountains. They look great in the room, are just the right size for bedside lamps, and work great for us. They do only accept 150w bulbs as a maximum. This seems fine for a bedroom."

"I'm a little torn on this review. The lamps themselves, I really like.They look good, and they fit very nicely on the night stands. What I don't particularly care for are the shades. I would much rather have a fabric shade or at least something that gives a softer appearance."

"LOVE THEM!!!! We are VERY happy with the Cabela's Wilderness Lamps we ordered. They arrived in perfect condition too !!! SO It seems they have fixed whatever the shipping problems were that caused damage to the shades in previous reviews. I did read about that before we ordered but also knew Cabela's has great customer service and would make it right if issues came up.
Thanks So Much Cabela's they are the perfect outdoor feeling to complete our indoor living room. YES I'll be back for more.... If you have to come home decorate it to feel as if you are still hibernating with the bears!!! XXOO"

"The lamp looks very nice. The instructions that came with the lamp said that it needed a three-way bulb for saftey reasons, so I went out and bought one. Unfortunately, the three-way seems to operate as a one-wattage bulb."

"Best looking lamps that I have seen in a long time. I put these in a cabin I own and rent out. They look great, even if you split them up. Our guests have made a lot of comments on them...they were packed great..no damage to the shades. The shades are very rich looking and together they are first class!"

"The base of the lamp is just what we wanted four our outdoor theme bedroom, but the shades are of an inferior quality. In trying to return the shade we had to box up the entire lamp only to get a new one with a damaged shade again. If you like the base and are prepared to get different shades, go for it. It is tough to just get the shades as this is manufactured over seas from what we were told. However in all this, the customer service reps. were as helpful as they could be."

"Quality
of lamp not matched to the cost for the lamp. When I ordered, I ordered
two lamps. One was received fine and the other had the shade crushed
with a hole through it. I called Customer Service and they had me
return the whole lamp and shipped a replacement lamp. When the
replacement was received yesterday, the shade was also dented and shows
marked when the light is turned on. Luckily this lamp sits in a corner
and the damaged shade is turned to the wall for now. My solution will
be to purchase shades of my choice that I can see before purchasing to
be sure they are not damaged. Damages appear to be done during packing
of the product. The boxes are well packed and show no damage of the
package in shipping. Base of lamp is okay.......but not worth the money
in my book."

"We love the lamps. Take three way bulbs but must be careful to follow the instructions in buying the bulbs.
The shades were slightly damaged but could not tell from the outside of the box that it might have been damaged in shipping to us. We could live with that and keep that part of the shade near the wall so no one could see."

"I originally ordered 1 lamp from Cabela's. When it was delivered the carton was in seriously bad shape. The lamp base was fine, however the parchment shade was crushed on one side.
I contacted Cabela's the next day and explained what had happened. In less than a minute my customer service representative had received the authorization to send me a new lamp- NO CHARGE! This time the lamp arrived in fine condition without any defects. They even let me keep the first lamp.
This is why I have been a loyal customer of Cabela's for over 20 years. If there is a problem they make it right. No excuses!! My lamp is working great and looks beautiful-now all I need is a parchment shade for my first lamp and I will have a matched pair."

"The lamp was very good for the money. The one minor problem with the lamp is that the shade is to large and it makes it hard to reach the on/off switch on the lamp. I will probably replace the shade and the problem will go away.
Basically, the lamp was a good buy."
