"I got this because I thought a digital thermometer would be a nice gadget to have, and it might be, but not this one. When you place the thermo-fork in you meat, it usually starts at around 70 degrees, or whatever temp you house is kept at, and then slowly rises in 2 degree increments. It took almost a minute to get to 120 degrees and by then the heat from my oven had dissipated. The ad claims “In just four seconds you can know if the meat is rare, medium or well done,” but I have never had results in four seconds. It is possible the one I have is not functioning correctly. I will use it outside when I grill over the summer, and I hope for better results, but not good for oven work."

"I really like this fork. It has been right on as far as the temperature of any meat I have barbeques. Easy to use and read. Will definately get another when this one wears out!"
