"Just got back from Canada and used the Berkley Power Swim Bait at the suggestion of my friend. Instead of using the light weight sinker/hook that comes with the bait, I used a 3/4 oz salt water jig head so the bait would swim deeper. A one ounce head would be a good choice also. The action on the bait was amazing, and the Pike and Musky loved it. Catching Pike on the swim bait was no problem, and it seemed to be the most reliable lure thrown while fishing. With the 6" bluegill swim bait, I caught a 43" Musky and numerous Pike. I did have to used super glue on the tip of the bait to keep it from sliding down the hook, but it was no big deal to fix the lure in the evening when it started sliding. If the bait gets torn up by the fishes teeth, they make a rubber glue compound to give it new life. Originally I never would have thought to use such a bait on Pike or Musky because I thought it would only last one time, but these lures proved to be champions. The ones that worked best for us, were the bluegill and purple tiger. My friend used them too, and took a black marker to draw lines going from top to bottom all the way from the gill area to the tail on each side of the purple tiger lure and swore by it. It is worth a try."

"I've bought 10 packs of these in just about every color. I've caught monster stripers to 20 lbs. and dozens of 8-10lbs. Great action and of course the powerbait attractant is always a great bonus. I recently went on trip to New York and got my dad hooked on these things. We caught 15 Largemouth in about 25 casts and a few good size northerns. You can fish them deep, shallow, weedless, fast, slow, jerk......no matter what kind of presentation you use these will work for you.
On a side note the 5" have better action and the purple fire tiger has been killing the stripers."

"Out of all the tube style swimbaits on the market, Berkley's Hollow Belly rivals Basstrix the closest. The action on the tail is incredible due to its pliable, soft plastic. And it's one of the only swimbaits out there that has the same type of tail action when you kill the bait and let it flutter down. I belive the hook size that comes with bait is a 5/0. I would recommend a 6/0 Falcon Superline weighted hook. Slightly larger for better hook-up ratio."

"These swimbaits really work well. We usually fish for largemouth bass with them. They tend to cull for bigger fish. When a decent bass takes one of these, there is no hesitation, usually. You have to set the hook quickly, because they don't just bump them or nip at them, they eat them. I'm looking forward to buying them without the hooks, although the hooks are in short supply right now, so it may be good, for now, that the hooks are packaged with the baits."
