Cabela's exclusive Brute wireless motors combines pure, boat-pulling power with wireless precision to create a trolling motor so effective and easy to operate, it lets you concentrate completely on catching fish. Its wireless FOB unit lets you move from the front to the back of your boat while keeping total control of the motor. The handheld control unit features intuitive on/off, right/left and variable speed controls, all without the tripping and tangling hassles of corded units. High-speed steering response and 1? steering resolution enables you to make fast, precise course corrections. Variable speed capability permits you to precisely control movement through the water. Deploying the motor is a quick, smooth, one-handed operation. An integrated battery indicator displays four levels of charge. "Great motor, easy deploy, and quite. The fish do not hear you coming unless you turn. The beep is loud and honestly not needed. It does need a speed indicator to let you know the motor speed. Thats my only complaint."

"This is a heck of a deal. Powerful and easy to use. Small footprint on the boat as well. We are rockin' em with the help of this motor. I have a MinnKotta on my other boat, it is an awesome motor as well. I can't say anything bad about either one. I bought the MotorGude because of the price point. Fast shipping, arrived in good shape, easy to install. Last thought, the trolling motor companies want you to spend $60 for a 50 amp in line circuit breaker. You can buy those at any RV center for $5.00 They are self resetting, smaller but just as good as the more expensive one that they like to sell you."

"Easy to install. I really like the key fob remote controls, although I am ordering the remote foot control as well. Good power. Easy to stow away. Ups beat the package up and some things were missing from the box, Cabelas sent me a new unit overnight. Cabelas has always been great to deal with."

"We sent the first one back. It really didn't handle weeds to well. It boggsed down and tripped an enternal protection device which had to be rebooted (totaly disconnected from power) to return to normal.

It is virtually impossible to fish with at night. There is no way to know if it is off or on, unless you rememeber how many times it beeped last or if the button was held down too long? It needs an off//on indicator light.

Steering is another issue. The steer motor makes alot of noise and spooks the fish. We watched with our camera. Fish 30-50 ft below would scatter as soon as the steer motor turnned to keep at an edge. Fish near the shore line would scoot for cover when I turnned to get a better casting angle.

Used as an aid for conture trolling during daylight hours is a good fit for this type of motor."

"This is a very nice product except that stowing the motor is not as easy as I would like. I have a bad back and one reason I purchased this motor was that I wanted to get away from the models where you had to pull and release the motor to deploy or stow it. This motor is easy to deploy but to stow the motor you have to release it, pull the motor up, and rotate it at the same time to to lock it into position. So far stowing has been more difficult than I expected and I can't do it with one hand like advertised...The install was easy with 2 people, instructions are clear, the setup of the foot and hand held controls was very easy. The hand held control is very handy. The battery level charge indicator is nice, and the motor runs great. Cabela's price was great, shipment arrived early, and I would purchase it again."

"I put this on my 17' aluminum v-hull and couldn't be happier with the results. The wirless foot control is great for moving from front to rear of boat and the wireless handcontrol is even better. I have two little boys who always need attention at the opposite end of the boat and I can move to help them while still keeping control of the boat. The motor is also easily removed from the mounting plate by loosening two knobs when not in use which makes for easy storage while traveling. Installation and set up was super easy. I would definately recommed this motor."

"I have had this motor for a few weeks now and it's been a dream to have on my boat.
The install was effortless with two people as the instructions suggest (even with the 50 amp safety switch - piece of cake!). The power (50 lb thrust) gets me where I need to go on those lakes that are electric only.
The fact that it is wireless frees me up to concentrate more on fishing anywhere from my boat. It is so easy to use and operates smoothly.
Some people have complained about the little beep that sounds with every command - I don't find it to be a problem as it beeps at such a low volume.
The price and delivery were fantastic as always with Cabelas. I would definitely recommend this product.
The only minor concern I have would be the longevity of this motor - hey it is a Motorguide it should last me quite a long time!

"This trolling motor works far better than I thought it would. I love the remote controls -- they work very well. The remote comes in handy when two people are in the boat, changing plugs. The person in the rear can have one of the controls to use while the operater in front works with his plugs."

"I mounted this motor on a 16ft Sylvan Expedition. Everything went fine with one exception, there is a 3 inch or so lip on my boat, I had to shim the mount so that it was flush with the 3 inch lip, as it is raised about 1/4 inch higher than the front deck. Other than an "ON" LED, I like this motor tremendously.

Its not perfect, but its right along side of it :-))"

"This trolling motor works great with my boat. The boat is an 18ft deep-vee starcraft..It moves the boat around with no problems and i can control the trolling motor from anywere in the boat.Worth getting if you dont like having a wire from a foot control allover in the boat. The wireless hand control also works great...."

"Only used it once so far. It has plenty of power and didnt put a dent in my battery. The pedal is a no-brainer to operate. I didnt think I would find the hand controler usefull, however within 10 minutes it became something I wouldnt want to do without. The installation was easy and the included instruction manual was very clear. The mounting plate has a very small foot print. I like it so far. The real test will be longevity................but so far I would give this a 5......."

"It arrived 3 days early!! No set up directions for handheld
but the company talked me through it over the phone.

Pulled my 17ft Alumaweld with 4 stroke and bells and whistles
around the lake in to a light head wind at 3+ mph on the 1st trip. 2nd trip was 1.3 mph for 6 hours for kokanee and the
tester said the battery was still fair !!

Hand and foot controlls both work ok for me, but whished I had added the auto pilot..........

Turning is great and the speed change is an 9 out of 10.
Very happy with the set up, only problem was getting a
50 amp circuit breaker.

No one stocks the motor guide brand!! It should be an option
with the motor !!"
