"For what it's worth, the picture shown is NOT Cliff Lakes II shorts. They are Cliff Lakes shorts. The Cliff Lakes II shorts, which I have (bought them at another store), have been discontinued. The II shorts have a bit different styling and it seems to me that the material is a little heavier duty than the Cliff Lakes (which I also have). For example, II short's pocket flaps are cut diagonally at the corner, CL are squared off as shown in the pics. Both are good shorts though. If I had to pick one over the other, I prefer the actual II shorts."

"These shorts are perfect - fabric is thick, yet soft; lots of easily accessible pockets, with 2 large Velcro-closing pockets; they look great, you can even wear a semi-dressy shirt with them; very practical and durable.
Be sure to get inseam size 9 for a comfortable fit. If you can find these shorts with exact waist sizes, those will obviously fit the best. Best all-around shorts I have found yet."

ARE REALLY GREAT AS THEY HAVE MANY POCKETS AND PROVIDE ME WITH A BUILT IN KEY RING. THE MANY POCKETS GIVE ME THE OPTION TO PLACE MY WALLET AND DRIVERS LICENSE IN ANY POCKET OF MY CHOICE. "I bought similar Columbia shorts about 3 years ago and have worn them out, could not find similar ones last year and was glad to see them offered this year, the inseam is a little longer than the older ones but are fine, these are comfortable, good looking shorts to live in most of the year. One nice thing about the longer inseam is that the pockets are very deep, keeping those coins secure."

"i bought these shorts because they looked like pretty good shorts on line. They are okay some of the draw backs are the pockets on right side i do not like. the pockets are made to close together. the zipper is not only a little flimsy but is not long enogh. the shorts will be hot in the summer time in sacramento ca. they look pretty good though."

"Great fit and good material, with one important exception. The zipper is really flimsy, as has been my experience with these shorts in the past. Usually breaks before the shorts have given their useful life. Also bought a pair of the Cabela's version of these shorts and was pleasantly surprised, they had very similar fit and a heavier zipper. Reinforce the main button on both shorts, not secured well in the factory."
