Snowshoe Bag Review,March 20, 2009
By ratherbeclimbing
"I used this bag for the first time in early March '09 on a camping trip in West Virginia. Temperature varied at night from the 40s to the low 20s. The Snowshoe held up great. Really warm all night! A few things to consider:
- This bag is technical in design. If you don't like how a mummy bag can sometimes constrict movement this bag is not for you. On the plus side the design and construction of the bag make it very comfortable and great at retaining heat.
- The provided stuff bag is efficient but not waterproof. If you are planning on using the bag in winter conditions and away from simple car camping, consider a waterproof stuff sack with multiple compression straps.
- Small zip pocket near top of bag makes a great cell phone or alarm holder.
- The regular size fit my 5.11 frame perfectly but anyone over six foot should consider the larger size. -"

Needs better zipper,December 2, 2008
By Max45from Florida
"The nylon fabric gets stuck in the zipper. I think a larger zipper would help. At odd hours of the night I have to tug up/down to free it. The bag is rated for zero and yet at temperatures above, (17 degrees and wind) while in a tent, I found I needed to wear heavy fleece pants and shirt and socks. It would be helpful if there were instructions. There are various straps and velcro fasteners on/in the bag and a separate (small) bag that I have no idea what they are used for. Finally, it is very difficult to turn over inside the bag. Other than that I think it is OK but I would not buy another one."

Snowshoe Sleeping Bag,October 6, 2008
By SilverJonnyfrom Provo, Utah
"Broke this bag in on a 4 night adventure trip to the high snowy capped peaks in Utah. The nights averaged around 35-40 degrees with wind and snow most nights. This bag kept me snug and warm. The pack in was a shade over 9 miles and this bag packed small and light. The drawbacks would include the minimal space to roll and all the draw strings getting in the way. I would recommend this bag to anyone that is looking for adventure performance at a good deal."

North Face Snowshoe,September 12, 2008
By IdahoCamper
"Just got back from a week in the Pioneer Mountains of Idaho (Sept 08). Camped several nights. Only one night did it get down to having frost on the tent, so I can't vouch for the 0 Degree rating. Most nights were in the 40's. However, the bag performed very well. It had enough room for me to move around (5'-10" @ 178lb) although a little more leg room would be nice, but no big deal. The bag zipped around my shoulders (with minimal snagging) and the air flap snugged up to keep out cold air infiltration. The sleeping bag fit easily into the supplied compression stuff sack and both fit snuggly into my Kelty Red Cloud backpack. I am very satisfied with the purchase."
