nice beacuse it folds,October 7, 2009
By Crabby2from Long Island NY
"A very sharp folding knife at a good price. Only problem is that the blade easily rusts. Don't fold the knife wet and forget about it. Rust will spoil the sharp edge and cause groves. You must dry it after each use. Get the longer knife since it has the serrated portion which is great for cutting thru thick bones. I steaked a 200lb shark with no problem. Thinking of buying another since the folding aspect is so compact and the knife does hold a sharp edge if you dont let it rust."

Great compact knife,June 30, 2009
By mark44444from chicago
"If you are looking for a light, compact knife that is easy to carry has a nice big blade and is very sharp this is the knife for you. My only complaint is that the handle is kinda small. My other filet knives have bigger handles making them easier to filet with. but if you are looking for a good filet knife that is small and light this is the one for you."

Folding fillet knife,March 9, 2009
By Preachingfrom Wisconsin
"I've had seveal fillet knives and wanted to try a folding one. The two sizes were nice. I was a little fearful of how they'd hold up because of their light weight. But they both worked well and did a good job. The blades held the edge and were good to use right out of the box. If you have a small tackle box and want to carry your fillet knife in the box these will work out great."

good knife,September 4, 2008
By CHAZmofrom MO
"This is a good versatile knife that easily fits into the tackle bag. For the money you can’t get much better. The blade is AUS-8 a great choice for fillet knives. Compared to HC420 or HC440 (common knife steel) it has much better edge retention, equal corrosion resistance, better sharpenability, with superior grain structure. The metal does not compare to S30V that is better in all categories listed above but you will have to dish out $90+ if you want to get the superior metal. This knife has good flexibility. The handle is about as good as it can get considering how small it folds down to. The locking mechanism locks it in the open and closed position a good feature. It comes with a short serration near the handle, great for cutting through the rib bones. I gave this knife a “4 out of 5” because a fixed blade is a better knife and the metal is only 2nd best. But, if you want a folding knife this is your best option. My last couple of recommendations are. 1 Get the longer knife. Longer knives are safer better cutting and easier to use because cuts are made with long smooth motions instead of short erratic ones. 2 Go hold this knife and others before you buy. Knives handles are a very personal thing and because of the thin handle you may love it or hate it! 3 Buy for the metal first and the handle 2nd"
