No Penetration!,June 6, 2009
By Jovackfrom Maine
"Shot a tom at 10 yards with 55LB draw. Arrow did not penetrate past the broadhead.
Tracked blood for 100 yards and then the trail stopped. Spent 3 hours looking for more blood.
Expected more penetration at 10 yards!"

turkey terror broadheads,May 12, 2009
By rgs623from CT.
"Shot at one Tom 23 yards broadside , arrow bounced off with nothing more than a few ruffled feathers and another shot at 20 yards at a different Tom with the same results.. There should be warnings on the label that say " for frontal chest shots only" I suspect many of turkey wounded with these judging from the reviews"

Horrible Broadhead,May 4, 2009
By Josh9676from Manchester, MI
"I spent two weeks hunting turkeys this year. On the last morning of my season, a huge tome came running right past me. He stopped at seven yards, broadside, and I let it fly. The arrow penetrated probably an inch, and the turkey ran away with my arrow in it. The tom then proceeded to walk into the field, and start to strut and gobble, completely unphased. I shoot a Hoyt Katera with a draw weight of 76 pounds, and a draw length of 29.5 inches. I have had my arrow speed tested and it is 301 FPS. This is an exeptionally fast bow, and it should have completely demolished this bird, especially at 7 yards. This broadhead is a complete failure and NOBODY should buy it, unless you plan on hunting squirrels or mice with a bow."

Disappointed,April 22, 2009
By Troyminator13
""Shot a turkey using these broadheads , quartering towards me at 30 yards with a 175 pound Barnett Preditor Crossbow. Granted not the perfect shot to take, BUT he was broadside when I decided to take the shot. He was in full strut and turned towards me just as the arrow was released. Hit turkey dead center of the body just about even with his beard. Turkey jumped up into the air about 3 feet and landed on his feet .The arrow fell on the ground with a ball of feathers clogged up on the broadhead. The turkey shook off the impact and walked off like nothing ever happened. This would have been the biggest TOM I have ever taken and my equipment failed me.""

Complete Failure to perform WITO,April 16, 2009
By CarolinaWITOfrom NC
"I was with my wife when she hit a large Tom perfectly at 15 yards on a side shot. The arrow practically bounced off the bird. One of the blades came off and the remaining two were so bent as to be useless. Clearly, the wing bone was hit and did not have enough penetration ability to get the job done. Replaced with some Muzzys that will punch on through when needed. These arrow heads are just too flimsy and not strong enough to be effective. The barbs on the blades catch feathers, bone, etc. and create unnecessary resistance."

Absolutely HORRIBLE,April 8, 2009
By johnpatrickfrom BANGOR, PA
"Mine bent all out of shape on the first shot into a foam block. After one shot the broadhead was dinged and bent. Did not shoot like my field tips because I had just finished hitting consistent bulls with my field tips when these things were going left and high. This broadhead is Garbage."

Disappointing results.,November 19, 2008
By flyboy7172002from Pennsylvania
"First off let me list the attributes of this broadhead. My setup is a 70 lbs. Mathews Icon bow shooting 26" Easton Axis 340 (9.6 grains/inch) arrows fletched straight w/ Blazer vanes.
I found these heads to be fairly quite inflight and didn't notice any "whistling". Accuracy was EXCELLENT! They impact just a little lower than field points (like most identical grain heads) and they group very well.
I would have to rate their durability as fair to good. While I'm sure they're not the strongest heads, I have not had any blade loss issues with them. That's based on shooting into my target as well as two misses and three hits on turkeys.
My experience with these heads revolves around three hits I've had on turkeys. The first was a broadside shot at 20 yds. I hit the bird too far forward and I believe clean through nothing but breast meat. The bird essentially walked off as if nothing had happened and that's part of the reason I think I hit only breast meat. Upon recovery the arrow had zero blood on it and the barbs on the head had just a few small feathers on it. There was no damage to the head whatsoever.
The second hit was from 25 yds and quartering away. I hit the right drumstick and completely broke that bone to the point where the bird couldn't even use that leg. The shaft continued further into the body and lodged into the bottom of the breast, breaking the bottom of the breastbone. The arrow stayed in the bird and the head held up well, but the turkey continue off. I managed to get a second arrow in it again from about 25 yds. The shaft hit the left wing, clipped some larger feathers off, penetrated a bit into the body, and then bounced out of the bird. I finally let the bird just wander off and decided to give it several hours to expire.
Well, five hours later I found the turkey still alive piled up near a brushpile, at which point I had to dispatch it "by other means". So to get to the point, my "beef" with these heads is that like you'll read on other reports about them, they will bounce off birds especially if you hit some of the larger bones in the wing. Yes, they probably won't penetrate all the way through the bird unless you get nothing but breastmeat.
I won't use them again because I don't have confidence in the heads that they will make quick efficient kills. While I realize that these heads are not supposed to completely pass through, still penetration is not what it should be. My suggestion would be to make the barb on the Turkey Tearror smaller in order to get a little better penetration and elimate shots simply bouncing off birds."

pass thru,November 18, 2008
By wishigotthatbirdfrom folsom ca
""Shot a turkey using these broadheads that say will not pass thru a turkey, broadside at 35 yards with a 70 pound bow. Hit turkey in center of body. Turkey walked off with slight limp never to be seen again. The arrow cut feathers on the near side and pulled a ball of feathers off the farside stuck to the broadhead. I will not use these broadheads again to criple another bird."

no problems with the kill,November 17, 2008
By advantageWLfrom Coarsegold CA
"The head transfers massive trauma to the bird. I took a broad side shot, above the leg but missed the wing. Shattered the bone but the bird flew complete with the arrow. I was shocked. A 20 yard shot and thought I was going home empty. Flight was about 30 yards and came down dead, massive internal bleeding and no wasted meat.
Can't get replacement blades so you shoot one, you replace it if you break blades. I haven't had any trouble with broken blades but it dulled and I don't think I will be able to use that head again. The head I shot and missed was retrieved and is fine. Dirt and grass didn't break the blade. May still look but I'm impressed. No pass through and dead bird. Might not do so well if you hit the meat of the wing but I don''t know, I hit above the rear leg with success."

Devistating Broadhead,May 6, 2008
By BIGKNEEfrom Cedar Rapids, IOWA
"I shot two turkeys this year, one with a 100g Muzzy and the other with my Turkey Tearror...Needless to say Coyotes were full after my first bird flew the coop. (45 yards complete pass-through blood everywhere- NO KILL) My second bird was taken with the Turkey Tearror-(68lb pull bowtech tomkat) @ about 25 yards. The arrow penetrated a depth of approx. 12 inches. It entered from just in front of his legs at an angle consistent with the opposite wing. It didn't penetrate the "boiler Room". RESULT: DEAD BIRD. Two steps, a wing flap and flat lined... The blades ripped off the head of broadhead, destroyed bones on the opposite side while leaving the arrow throughly lodged in the bird.
These broadheads are sharp, powerful and 100% deadly. Their durability is questionable. And the availability of replacement/extra blades are also in question- But Mechanical broadheads are complicated and overrated. These are worth it! Great accuracy, a bit louder than fixed blades during flight, but again for turkeys you have to sacrifice some aerodynamics for destructiveness, otherwise we could all use field-points for everything- Result 65 and 3/8 typical Eastern. Happy hunting."

"This broadhead should be used for a heavier shaft arrow, like an aluminum or a heavy carbon arrow. It is not made for a light weight arrow. My arrows bounced right off the birds."

Best tip for Turkey Hunting,April 28, 2008
By TradeMarkfrom Northern Minnesota
"I have gone to SD turkey hunting with a large group for a few years now, and we have tried everything from Spitfires, Muzzys, and the Rage, and we even tipped them with Adder Point and nothing. We have always made good hits, but they fly/run from the top of the mountain and in 2 seconds they are in the valley 400 yards away and we cannot recover. This time I used the Turkey Terror with a Grasshopper (muzzy) back, and I was the only bowhunter to recover a bird. They flew almost exactly like my fieldpoints (Mathews Drenalin Bow) and stuck in the bird (desired to prevent flight) and died within seconds. It delivered a wack that sounded like I hit the shoulder on a whitetail. I will continue to use this setup for years to come. No more trips with mutiple stories of wounded birds!!!"

A Must Have!,April 23, 2008

"I shot a turkey in the rear-end with this broadhead, and had incredible results. This broadhead stuck in the turkey with no chance of him shaking it out. The entry hole was massive, and the bird only ran 20 yards. This is an excellent product!!!"

NOT VERY DURABLE!!!,April 15, 2008
By Cousinpeppahfrom Pleasanton, Ca
"I shot at a Turkey and missed. When the broad head hit the ground it was toast, one blade broke off and the other two blades were damaged beyond repair. With my second Turkey Terror broad head, I smoked a nice 20lb 4oz Tom. (so nice) However I hit the turkey broadside through the wing and the broad head did punch a hole but it bounced off, not even sticking in, and again one of the blades fell off. I don't know not very durable. I think they should include replacement blades with the broad head packs if you have to replace them after every shot."

Very Sharp,March 10, 2008
By brn2fishfrom Kansas
"This product is very sharp and will penetrate throught about anything i took a turkey during the fall season but the arrow didnt go all the way throught because skin would snag in the huge opening. the ends of the broadheads broke off because there is no support other than that it flew like field points and was very lethal."
