Great smoker!,September 2, 2009
By TahoeJohnfrom South Lake Tahoe, CA
"I bought a shadow yesterday. I Took it to the range today and fired 20 rounds of seven pellets (50 grain) pushing a 294 grain HP (sabot backed) along with an equal amount of 200 grain ball with separate sabot wad. I used .209 Winchester shotgun primers. Accuracy is 5X5. 3” groups at 100 yards. Johnny like!. I water swabbed the bore followed by oil patch after each shot. I read about an issue with trigger access when a scope is installed. My rifle included a trigger extension that takes care of the clearance problem. I installed it out of the box. After my shoot today I disassembled the weapon and cleaned it thoroughly. I found the shadow easy to clean in about 20 minutes. I love the Fiber Optic sights and was able to adjust them intuitively. I was shooting groups at 11 o’clock and moved them easily with a simple dope change to the right and down.
The Knight Shadow is fun to shoot. It is solid in the vice and manageable off-hand. Every shot maintained consistent detonation and I feel comfortable behind the stock.
Great smoker!
I am looking forward to MZ season this year.

My first day at the range.....,March 14, 2009
By Wizeguy
"I just finished my first day with this gun. I put on a Pine Ridge Ballistic 3x9 with "quick detach mounts" by ZX2? I believe. The gun shot well and it didn't punish me too bad at all shooting 100gr. of Blackhorn 209. This is my first in-line ML. I also own a left hand T/C Renegade which is a solid piece of iron........but it won't toss anything but a patch and ball accurately. This Knight was on target in 6 shots. That's MY ability. It grouped at 2" at 100yds......that's IT'S ability. I used Barnes MZ expanders/250gr. TOTALLY lethal. The Barnes TMZ boatail in 250 gr. also grouped tight as can be. This gun is a bit petite but it operates nicely and cleans up easily. I found the trigger a bit heavy but I am used to a two trigger gun. It's a good value for the buck."

Excellent muzzleloader for the price,January 14, 2009
By JT79from Des Moines, IA
"I bought muzzleloader with the scope. It very accurate [less than 1" group at 100yds]. At 50 yds it shoot 1" high. I never had a miss fire or problem with over 50 shoots through the rifle, so far. I shoot a nice 7 point buck with this gun in the pouring rain this fall. It very easy to take apart and clean. The only minor problem it is little stiff to break open. I definitely recommend this rifle."

Great muzzleloader for the price,December 21, 2008
By trout2kfrom Craig Colorado
"I found the gun to be in great condition upon purchase. I found it easy to clean with the removable breach plug. Out of the box, I hit paper at 100 yards with open sights. I beat the heck out of the gun this past elk season in here in Colorado. Had it at elevations above 12000 feet in snow and rain conditions. After 5 days of hunting and not finding any big elk close enough to pack out on foot, I shot the load, which still hit its mark. I was pleased that it still shot, despite freezing, wet, muddy, and damp conditions. The only reason I gave this gun a 4 is that its components are not really the best quality (it is not a 1000.00 muzzleloader), but for the price I believe I got more than I paid for."

A Bad Knights Shadow,December 12, 2008
By DAH79from Valentine, NE
"I have owned other muzzleloaders and this is by for the worst one of all. For starters when I received the shadow I cleaned it all up and realized my front sling stud was rusted. I called Knight to get a new sling stud and to ask for my free bullets that were supposed to be included. After I received these items I mounted rings, scope and bi-pod on it. I took it to our local range and loaded it for the first time. As I sgueezed the trigger for the first time all I heard was a click as the hammer went forward, but no ignition. After waiting for a safe amount of time I opened the rifle. There was not even a mark on my 209 primer. Come to find out later the firing pin was not coming out of the hole. Therefore I would not recommend this muzzleloader due to the experience I had."
