"When I purchased these, I was looking for a casual sandal to wear that had support and comfort for evenings out. With fallen arches and a bone spur on one heal cushioning and arch support was a must. These sandals do it all reasonably well. The only disappointment is the adjustable heal strap which requires some getting use to for the right fit."

"The way this sandle is designed it has bumps that rub on your feet. I finally got the chance to wear my sandles for an entire day and by the end of the day I had worn the skin off two places above my toes on both feet. I can't wait to return them."

"Always been a fan of Teva's and can report this product is well constructed, looks good, and has a comfortable footbed. Just wasn't what I was looking for in a sandal. My preferences included maximum cooling for hot weather and something a real man would be comfortable wearing in public. The Fossil Canyon's fulfilled neither requirement. Therefore, I selected Teva's Dozer sandals for wearing out and Adidas athletic slides for in/around the home."

They fall apart,May 12, 2009

"I bought two pairs of Tevas and both separated at the sole. The first was on a cruise. I spent a week with duck tape holding the sole to the footbed. The second time (another pair) was after a fishing trip. I was walking back to my truck and I heard a slapping sound when my foot hit the pavement. I suppose the problem is that I jump off the bow to attach my winch strap and the sandals get wet and this causes the glue to deteriorate. (I thought they were for outdoor use.) First the left sole detached and I glued, and vise-gripped it with 3M 5200. A month later the right sole separated and I glued it too. Inspecting the sole and the footbed I noticed they are not flat but both consist of a series of narrow high and low narrow ridges that look like corrugation. The high spots on both parts are what are glued and are supposed hold the sole to the footbed together. Frankly, I think the construction is flimsy. I will never buy another pair of Tevas. I think Keens are a more substantial watersport shoe."

"I used theses sandals for the first time for five days down in Florid at an adventure park. Very comfortable, very good looking and seem to be quite durable. Got them wet, then dry, then wet again, over and over again. I highly recommend these!"

"The multiple and strategically placed velcro straps make the sandals easy to remove and a perfect fit every time. They are sturdy and adaptable to various surfaces. I bought them for my visit to Hatteras Island and they were great for beach and street alike. I have chronic foot problems and they helped me cope."
