Oregon Scientific Portable Weather Alert Monitor,July 10, 2009
By outdoormomof3from Hills of West Virginia
"Very good purchase- we have a hard time even getting a cell phone signal, but no trouble getting the monitor to tune us into current weather conditions. The instructions are a little thick to go through, but you'll have that with electronics I guess. I like the color- it was very easy to find in the campsite, even with a 17 month old carring it all over the place. Did't use the alarm clock feature, but nice to have if needed. I only gave it 4 stars because you have to actually program individual, local county codes into the monitor before it would tune into an area, rather that it scanning for anything local. The codes can be found online according to a site listed in the instructions, and you can only program 5 individual codes into it at one time. Other than that, it was very handy to camp with."

"This weather radio receiver is great. I like the fact that it can give alert/warnings of bad storms arriving into the region where one lives as long as the region code is programmed into the unit where you reside. Its a great product and gives upto the minute weather forecast."

Good product,May 23, 2008
By jtexasfrom Frisco, Texas
"This is a great device to have in your home or camping. We get weather warnings a few minutes before it shows up on the TV or radio. It's a little difficult to set up, so be sure to keep the directions, because you actually have to read them. It also can go through the batteries, but they all do. Overall, it is a very good product that we have had no troubles with for over two months."

weather alert Radio WR113,April 22, 2008
By cerafrom Rochester, NY
"sensitivity has been improved with this product overall compared to there other weather radios. Still get a chuffing sound every 10 seconds for approximately 2 seconds no matter what station you are listening to or whether you are home or away from home. Oregon Scientific does not find the problem in their radio, we exchanged the radio for a new one and it also has the noise. Its not the alarm and Oregon Scientific does not know what the problem is. We will keep this exchange product."
