"Recently purchased Magtech 7-1/2 for Ruger .204 using VVN530 new brass RCBS Xdies tested loads from 26gr 26.5gr and 27gr with 32gr V-max boatails
Primer cups are soft - wouldnt not recoment goin above 26.5gr because of the pressure the 27gr loads did push the cups back enough to have the firing pin pierce.
At 26gr with that recipe was good accuracy at 100 and 200yrd with 1/2" group."

"Because domestic primers have been in short supply, I decided to try MagTech (made in Brazil). I handloaded 100 brand new .223 Rem cases (fifty Remington cases, fifty Winchester cases) with the MagTech 7 1/2 primers, using 24.5 grains of AA#2230 powder and a Hornady V-max 60 grain bullet per case. Each of the 100 test cartridges fired just fine. However, I felt that, during the handloading, the MagTech primer went into the case's primer pocket maybe just a bit too easily. I am using a Lee Classic press with a Lee Ram Prime. This setup allows the user to easily feel the seating process of a primer. I prefer the more secure fit of a Remington 6 1/2 or 7 1/2 primer, and also I prefer the fit of a Winchester 6 1/2 primer to that of the MagTech. To have any primer fit loosely is to invite gas leakage into the bolt face. MagTech users should especially monitor the condition of their bolt faces, watching for signs of erosion."

"When I got your Ma-Tec small rifle #71/2 primers I reloaded for my .204 Ruger and my 5.56/223Rem using the same chrg. of powder , bullets and brass for each individual cal/load and I could not see hardly the difference in shot groups. Very,very pleasing. I'm looking forward to buying your Mag-Tech #91/2 for my 30-06 Sprgfield & 7.62x51/.308 Win. service rifles. Thanks!
