"I bought these caps, size 28/29. They went on ok, but you have to be careful not to push these caps on to far. You'll know because the caps will constantly pop open. Although they have a stop for the end of the scope, they are easily pushed on to far beyond the stop, especially when snapping the cover closed. The stop doesn't work very good. You have to carefully watch for that ALL the time. They keep the dust & snow off the scope for the most part. I do have a concern that the cap fits loser than I would prefer. These caps could easily be better if the manufacturer payed attention. By-the-way, when you order these caps, you must order 2 of them. I guess that's Cabela's minimum policy."

"Poor design. The flip up scope cover would not stay closed on or off my scope. The small flange does not keep it locked down to the eye piece, just flips up all by itself. I retuned the product, not worth the money."

"I have these on all my scopes and love them. I dont try to shoot when there closed, I just use as a scope cover to prevent glass from getting dirty or wet. They quickly flip open and out of the way. The only problem is when I needed a pair for a new nikon pro staff scope I purchased, I couldn't get a correct fit. One was a little too tight and doesn't close real well and the next size up was too big and wouldn't stay on the bell. I'm using the smaller one and it works good enough."

"i used this lens cap on 1 hunt. it didn't even last out to my post. by the time i got there, the cap had fallen off and was lost forever. the next size smaller lens cap was too small and wouldn't stay closed after i forced it onto the scope."

"I bought several pairs for my Leupold 3.5-10X40s. The front cap works OK. I tried No.4s for the eye piece they did not fit. The chart I had to go buy said no.4 and since I already had a set on a Leupold that had a No.4 on it thats what I ordered. I then ordered the next size up (which came back as a size No. 5/6) and they were too big. I finally gave up. What to do with all these caps I dont know. I'll take them to the Tulsa OK. gun show, put them on my table and try to sell them."

"I was excited to get these caps for my scope because I had to pass on a few deer last year due to snow and ice in my scope. So I was disappointed when I discovered that the lens on the caps were blurry!! It was like looking through a pair of glasses that were the wrong prescription. Just to be sure I wasn't crazy, I had my wife look through them, she said the same thing! In fact when you looked through the scope with the caps on, only the center was clear, the rest of your view was not focused. Furthermore, I followed the fitting instructions in the catalog and chose the size closest to my scope diameter (actually it was dead on one of the circles), the caps ended up being way too tight. I should have chose the next size up. Before you buy these, go somewhere and check them out, I am not really sure how anybody can really use them."

"The main reason I am not recommending this product is due to the fact that it is extremely hard to know if it will actually fit your specific scope. I printed off the measuring diagram and ordered the one that was suppose to fit, not even close. I went up one size and the thing was falling off. It is really a great idea and I'm sure will work very well on some scopes, but probable not yours. If you want to try one, I recommend going into the store and trying it out on a scope that matches yours in the case line. At least this way you will know for sure if it will work for you."

"I just received these caps in the mail. They are terrible quality! The rear cover doesn’t fit snug to the eye piece. In fact, it slides off easily. But that could have been my fault in sizing. Worst of all are the actual caps. First, the clear lens is held in by a metal ring that comes loose. Also, the caps won’t stay closed. The rim is so flimsy that the caps pop open on their own. This is the first thing from Cabela’s that I’ve ever been dissatisfied with. I am sending them right back!"

"I INSTALLED THE CAPS ON A SIMMONS WHITETAIL. THE OCULAR END WAS FINE. THE OBJECTIVE END WAS HARD TO KEEP CLOSED. MAYBE THE 2.5" DIAMETER? OTHER THAN THAT THE FIT IS GOOD AND THE VIEW IS CLEAR WITH THE CAPS CLOSED. OH YEAH, DO NOT WEAR A BALL CAP WITH THE OCULAR CAP OPEN!!"
