Ok book,December 23, 2008
By Elihfrom Bakersfield, CA
"I was not happy that this book did not include load data for the 50 grain Varmint Grenade bullet in .223. The book does have other usefull information but not what I bought it for. I would recomend this book for loading other calibers like .308 and 30-06 for the lead free calibers required to hunt deer and other game in the lead free zones in Kalifornia."

great reference book,November 28, 2008
By mc9864from Durango, Colorado
"Barnes has all the latest loads for WSM's and WSSM's as well as several newer calibers and so on. The newest thing I noticed was, new and very different loads for 7mm Rem Mag. I typically use the TSX 175 gr for my 7mm and the suggested loads are quite different from earlier manuals. Ballistic coef appear to be scaled down from previous manuals as well. All in all a great buy with lots of useful information."

Finally,October 13, 2008
By Pleasedagainfrom New Mexico
"Well, they finally came out with the new edition. I love X-bullets but this book has fairly anemic velocities compared to other reloading manuals. They dropped a lot of calibers that were in the old edition too. None that are relevant to me but I'm sure somebody will care. Too bad the Tipped X data isn't in there either because I think those are my new "go to" bullets."

Metalic Reloading,September 23, 2008
By Birdhunterndfrom Westhope, ND
"Finally, Barnes has released their newest reloading manual. Very interesting reading prior to the loading information. I've been trying to work up a load for my Browning A-Bolt .270 Win with mixed results. I no longer have to search the internet for load data. With the new Barnes loading manual using their TSX bullet I now have a great load for deer and antelope. I would recommend this book to anyone wanting to reload Barnes Bullets."

Barnes reloading Manual,September 22, 2008
By eggsamedeefrom Poland, ME
"Its an absolute requirement to reload any Barnes triple shock bullets since the powder charges are dramatically different from other bullets from Hornady, Sierra etc. The Barnes solid copper bullets differ from the copper jacketed lead bullets of other brands"

Number 4,September 1, 2008

"If you have any of the short mags this is the manual to have. I recently purchased the 325 wsm, and needless to say the options you have for ammo are garbage. I was recommended the barnes triple shocks by my gun shop and now that I have tried them I wont ever go back. This book has almost every thing you need to know."

Barnes Reloading Manual #4,August 15, 2008
By Huntnlifefrom Antioch, California
"Well written book, an easy read with a good general review of the reloading process. It has large, clear diagrams of the cartridge dimensions, along with all the specifics including case, primer, and barrel manufacturer, for each caliber. It covers a wide range of calibers, and includes several powders for each bullet weight, which comes in handy when loading multiple calibers. This book is a must have for anyone hunting in California, due to its growing ban on lead ammo. Barnes bullets are excellent performers, and factory loaded ammo is limited. Rifle, pistol and muzzleloader hunters will all find some good information on loading premium performance hunting rounds within this manual."

Barnes Reloader manual #4,August 5, 2008
By Reasedaddyfrom Farmingdale, NJ
"Excellent overall reference for the reloader. Finally, the long awaited TSX and MRX bullet loading data are in print. The first part of the manual (the part you normally skip) is actually really good information on breaking in rifle barrels, sighting in, bullet performance and their related aim points. The only thing I did not like was that you have to search through a bunch of ballistic tables to find bullet drop instead of it being listed next to the loading data. A simple chart showing replicating the most accurate load with the suggested zero range and the drop at 100-500 yds."

"Some good info on new calibers and new bullets, but not all of barnes bullets are listed for all calibers. Some bullet weights aren't listed at all in the entire book."
