"First, let me point out that I have not actually used this to ward off attacking dogs or people yet. So I can't comment on the product in that regard (however, in the past I have had to use pepper spray on an attacking dog, and I can assure you that it worked well).

Aside from the feeling of security it gives me while I'm doing my daily 2-mile walk, what I like about the Jogger Pepper Spray is its handy holder. The can is the perfect size and shape to fit my hand, and the elastic band secures it in my hand without my having to actually hold onto it. Unlike the pepper spray I'd formerly used (which was difficult to aim), this holder puts the 'trigger' directly at my thumb-tip.

Also, the can is made with a flip-up safety latch that makes it very easy and fast to use. Just a quick flip up of the latch with my thumb tip and my thumb is on the button--ready for action. And aiming with my thumb on the trigger makes for much better aiming accuracy.

I use it while I'm walking, but this is a well thought out design for people who jog or ride bicycles too."

"My girl was afraid to walk around the lake because of all the loose dogs.
One bit her last year.
Now she carries this and will go for a walk alone.
The strap that keeps it in your hand is very nice."

"I only gave this four stars, as I have not yet had to use it (thank god!). I walk home from a bus stop five blocks from my house at about 9:30 p.m. once a week, and I needed new pepper spray. This one is affordable, and I like the included carrier with strap. It fits snugly around my hand, and around the canister, so I don't need to worry about adjusting my grip once I've got it on correctly. I give it a tiny spray every time I'm about to go out with it, to ensure it's working, what I can see of the spray pattern seems effective, but it's hard to tell without actually using it as it's intended."

"I bought this pepper spray because I walk my dog alone, sometimes at night. While I hope I never need it, the design seems very functional, and I feel a little safer if I run into unruly dogs or people."

"I walk home from work late every night. Because I am a single woman (and scared to death that something's going to happen to me), I purchased this pepper spray to give me some comfort.
The first day I walked home with it, I was amazed at how my walking stance changed. Before I had purchased the Jogger Fogger Spray, I walked slumped over and tried to stay in the shadows. I didn't want to be seen. The day I purchased it, I walked home from work and I felt safe enough to walk home with my shoulders squared looking straight ahead (of course my hand was in my pocket the entire time ready to spray if I needed to).
Believe me, this stuff works. I accidentaly pushed down on the button while it was in my pocket...in a class...(I was trying to figure out what it was) the entire class (and the ones next to us were cleared out). After seeing the classroom cleared out, I feel completely safe walking home with the Jogger Fogger Spray because I know what it can do...I've seen it.
Ladies-buy it for yourself, your friends, and anyone you know who loves to go running, walking or hanging outside after dark.
Men-buy it for your wife, girlfriend, mother, daughter, niece, sister, anyone you care about and want to keep safe
This stuff honestly does work."
