"Purchased a few week ago, I've used it trolling for trout during a very active bite without noticable improvement. The basic idea doesnt seem very radical, l;ike a buzzbait or spinnerbait this should work. I plan to continue trying using it with trolling swimbaits for bass."

"Well, I had this gadget on my line trolling with a trout lure in a jet boat (no trolling motor, and going a bit too fast I felt)..anyway my friend was using his favorite trout lure next to me with no CAGI and he caught 3 trout in a matter of 20 minutes. I think the trout were attracted to our boat by the CAGI and hit his lure as it was more attractive than the one I had on. Then the lake roughed up so we had to call it quits before I could change lures. I need to have a few more attempts on other types of fish, like salmon, to give it a fair go before I can give it a higher rating."

"I fished a Great Lakes Salmon Tournament this past summer with the CAGIs. Our two winning fish came on the two rods with the CAGIs. It looks like a gimmick but it works. We don't troll without them and we are ordering enough for all our rods to have it on!!! Since we started using the CAGI this summer we have taken a 1st Place, 3rd place in big money tournaments and also won two club tournaments. They have definitely increased our catches."

"I fished last season in Western CT with these strange looking contraptions. Trolling with both flat lines (lead core) and downriggers. The rods that ran the CAGIs out produced the ones without almost 2:1. I now have them on all of the trolling gear I run. Great invention, best thing to come along in a long time. Hey, if you don't believe me don't buy them, there will be more fish for me to catch! Trout Scout"

"WE BEGAN USING CAGI'S IN NOVEMBER, 2006, WITH SOME TREPIDATION, WHICH LASTED ABOUT 15 MINUTES. WE EACH BOATED A LIMIT OF TROUT, USING THE GOOFY LOOKING THING, A 24 AND 30 INCH LEADER, TIPPED WITH A konnecticut kobra. OTHER ANGLERS WERE INQUISITIVE AS TO WHAT WE WERE USING, LIMITING OUT AT A NON-PRODUCTIVE TIME OF THE YEAR. DURING THE WINTER OF 2007, WE USED THE CAGI ITSELF AS AN ICE FISHING ATTRACTOR. MOUNTED ON A SIX FOOT ROD AND SET IN AN EZJIGGER, WE JIGGED UP ABOUT 100 PERCH WITH A LURED SECONDARY ROD. BOTH PROVED THEMSELVES. THE ONSET OF THE 2007 TROUT SEASON, BROUGHT THE EXPERIENCE OF THE PREVIOUS NOVEMBER TO MIND. USING THE SAME SET-UP FLATLINING LEAD CORE AND ON THE DOWNRIGGERS, THE CAGI PROVED TO BE AN INVALUABLE FISHING TOOL. WE BOATED 565 TROUT AND 93% HAD CAGI'S IN USE. AS THE SEASON PROGRESSED, WE ATTACHED THE CAGI'S ONTO THE DOWNRIGGER BALL AND FOUND IT EFFECTIVE AS WELL. WE NOW FISH WITH CAGI'S AS MAINSTAY TACKLE."

"I was fishing Calabogie Lake near Ottawa, Ontario last fall, smallmouth/pike/walleye. The second day I was having no luck at all. On one rod I tied on a CAGI above a 12" steel leader using a spinnerbait. Bingo! Boated several nice pike and smallmouth. On another rod I was using a soft plastic tube with nothing happening, so I thought why not give the funky whirlygig a try on that too. It was a little more difficult to cast than the heavier spinnerbait, but I'll be darned if I didn't start getting hits on that rig too. I didn't take the GAGI off to see if the action would stop. I was there to catch fish, not do anything that might reverse that, so I can't say for sure if it was the CAGI or fate, but I'll always have a few in my arsenal just in case."
