"I gave these four stars only because they do not come in shorter lenghts. With most of my rifles I end up with alot of extra material. My safe is full, which is a good thing. The problem with a full safe is scratching and denting your guns. These cases do a good job of protecting your guns."

"I bought three of these--two small and one large. Although advertised as different for revolvers and semiautos, I could find no difference. Order the large unless you have a very small gun. For instance, I have a Beretta 21A, a palm sized .22. The small case sort of swallows it. On the other hand, I have a Walther .380 PPK and it is a perfect, comfortable fit with room for an extra magazine.
The larger case, about 11 inches, snugly holds my Ruger Alaskan .454 and my full size Smith & Wesson 22A-1 .22 target pistol.
As to the product: Great! The material is very thick and does provide great protection to the firearm. The inside material is very, very soft and very thick that provides great protection. The flap is large and provides discreation as to whether you want a very tight fit or a more relaxed closure. The velcro closure is adequate and simple.
One last consideration: I plan to order more of these cases. I keep my guns in a small safe. An unexpected advantage of these cases is that, when the firearm is encased, they take on a somewhat uniform shape and depth. The result is that I can easily stack my guns on the safe shelf in a more efficient stacking pattern without harm to the guns that I would have never done with the unprotected guns. I anticipate that they will be great for stuffing my guns in a bag for the range.

"It looks vaguely like one of those Civil War era holsters with the flap top, but a little bigger and made of a grey "wool-like" cloth. A great fits for all but my largest handguns (for the size I bought). I use them to store the handguns in the safe. I own several Bore Stores for my extra long gun and shotgun barrels; these handgun cases are just as well made, affordable, and just an all around great buy!"

"After trying one of the Bore-Stores, we quickly ordered one for every long gun and handgun we have and will store them in these sleeves henceforth. They also are excellent for transporting weapons to and from the range when a regular padded case isn't needed. Their silicone treatment and breathability are reassuring, though we also treat our guns with spray-on silicone before putting them away.
Also, we can get them to fit our 37" or 38" lever-action rifles; Cabela's and nearly every other outfit seems to stock padded, handled cases only for scoped rifles or 48"-and-up weapons -- please, Cabela's, stock even ONE model suitable for the lever rifles, coach shotguns and riot-length 1897's so heavily used by cowboy-action shooters!
Back to the Bore-Stores. We found that the pistol sizes will accommodate a larger weapon than the label indicates (about one size larger.) A too-long rifle case can be shortened by turning it inside out and sewing the end shorter, then trimming the excess (or leaving it as an end pad.)
Since they all look identical in their matching gray (wish they came in colors) we marked each weapon's name neatly in Magic Marker on the flap. A nice touch might be a business-card pocket sewn to the flap; they're available very cheaply from luggage and bag manufacturers.
Buy lots of these! They're superb!"
