"I think This case trimmer is better than the other redding case trimmer because of micrometric adjustment .
The case length adjusment is very accurate, nevertheless the use of a beburing tool will be required .
The only drawback to this trimmer is the universal case fixing device ,I think using specific shell holder would have been better."

"This is a fine tool and seems to do a pretty good job, but I still have some issues. It apears that not all cases are created the same and that Winchester brass ( used) does not trim well with this trimmer. There are times when it trimmes too much and others not enough, so I have to trim more. I am not sure if it is the trimmer or the "trimmy", you know operated error. It is a labor of love and it does use time for something productive."

"I really liked the sturdy design, nice workmanship. Redding always makes good stuff. The only thing that drove me crazy was the "Universal collet". At first it worked pretty slick, then after a 100 or so cases it started slipping. There was no way to really lock the collet and casing tighter. Turn the crank and the casing won't turn due to the cutter digging in to the case mouth.
The good news is the pilot and cutter work just fine in my old RCBS cheapo trimmer. Life is good when you keep it simple."

"I recently replaced my old trimmer with the redding 2400. What a great product. Just lock the case in the collet and crank away. When you're finished trimming the case the handle turns freely. That's it, your done and on to the next case. Simply Awesome!!!"

"As i have found you have to spend a little more to get a little more. I had another companys case trimmer and I like this one alot better. The adjustment is simple and repeatable, just read the directions carefully so you can get the most out of the way it is marked. I also love the fact that you don't need a second set of shell holders. The cases trim quickly and cleanly. Redding quality shines through."

"NOW I CAN TRIM MY CASES WITH AMAZING LENGTH PRECISION AND CONSISTENCY. I CRIMP MY .357 MAGNUM CASES AND LENGTH CONSISTENCY IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR FAST BULLET SEATTING AND CRIMPPING. THE CASE HOLDER IS A NEW FEATURE THAT I HAD TO GET USED TO. AFTER A LITTLE PRACTICE I HAD IT WORKING RIGHT. I WISH REDDING WOULD HAVE GIVEN ME THE OPTION TO CHOOSE THE PILOTS FOR THE CALIBERS THAT I NEED. I WILL NEVER USE MOST OF THE PILOTS THAT CAME WITH THE TRIMMER. "The Redding case trimmer is a solid, well-made product that works as advertised. So far, I've only tried it on 223 cases because, although it comes with an assortment of mandrels, my favorite deer-rifle caliber (8mm Mauser) is not one of them. Not to worry though -- Redding offers additional mandrels for just about any caliber you can think of, and I've already ordered one for 8mm.
The difference between this model and the less expensive Redding is the micrometer adjustment. It's probably not necessary to be that precise in your trimming, but it is nice to know you can if you want to."
