"Went fishing at a local pond full of carp; have caught them there before. Tried the honey version of this bait. I watched five different carp locate this bait, hover over it and move on. None took it. Effective? You evaluate the facts."

"Fished in a lake full of big carp who were devouring corn and bread that I put out for them, but they would not touch this bait on the hook! Caught them on corn and bread, but not on the magic carp bait."

"I recently purchased the anise-scented "Magic Carp Bait" and I have had very little success with it. I've tried it on three separate outings and all I've managed to get was one lazy bite. On those three outings, the carp were going well on traditional sweet corn and when I switched to the "magic" carp bait, there was very little response to it. I'm going to continue to try it, but so far, I have little trust in its effectiveness."

"I saw these at the Cabelas and bought all the different flavours. I thought it would work but after a 15 hour trip I had no hits on any of the flavours."
