Great reel for the price,

"This real has worked great so far. The only problem has been when the temp is close to the freezing mark the anti-reverse stops working no matter what position you put the switch in. Besides that everything has been great."

"Great drag system and I like the anti-reverse location for easy on and off. I have had a couple of 'wrap arounds" with the bail flip where the line is off course- maybe 1 out of 50 times - easy recovery. The reel is smooth and balanced. A good value."

"I purchased 3 sizes of these reels and I am pleased to say that they are well made and a real value. I purchased a simular Okuma reel (15 size) a few years back and took it to Alaska and caught a 17lb silver salmon on 6 lb test. The drag system is made it possible. I hope to have good fortune with

"I bought my first Okuma spinning reel, an Epixor, three years ago based on reviews and the 10 bearing design...and the love affair was on. When the Hardstone was introduced by Cabela's I tried one in ultralight and was amazed to find the same super smooth action, excellent drag, and quality "feel" as the Epixor.
Then Cabela's began offering these as a combo w IM 6 & IM 7 graphite rods at an incredible price point. I now have six Hardstone reels in various sizes paired w a variety or rods. The reels handle 6, 8,10,12,& 17weight line-Hybrid fluoro, mono, and braid w equal ability. This is a super reel and surpasses others at twice the price."

"This Okuma UL reel, Model HS-15, was purchased only by chance as I saw it in a Cabelas direct customer sale catalog. I own a larger Okuma surf fishing reel, and love the over-all high quality that Okuma supplies with a very competitive price. This HS-15 was on sale and was simply to awesome of a deal too pass up! I have teamed the HS-15 reel with a custom UL IM8 blank, and has been a wonderful UL erxperience, great performance, excellent balance, and a very super tough design allowing any and all size of fish to be a super treat when reeling in. Thank You Cabelas, Thank You Okuma, in this messed up economical world these days, what a business concept, Excellent quality product, super features with warranty, and most of all, super Cabelas customer service, BINGO, it's a keeper!"
