Coleman stovetop camping coffee pot,
August 22, 2009
By AZhorserider
from AZ
|
"I love this coffee pot! I have had this coffee pot since it was first introduced many years ago and it has performed flawlessly since then. I have changed to using a single burner stove with foil around it to improve the performance. Makes a splendid cup o' jo in about 12 minutes dependent on outside temps and wind..hence the tinfoil. I do use a Coleman thermos to store all the coffee in to keep it hot after brewing. Everywhere we go horse camping people are in aww of the coffee pot and the coffee it makes. I have used it at home as a backup when the power goes out and even when my electric home pot died. Never have had a problem with the brew-pause feature."

The Great Coleman Stovetop Coffee Pot!!,
August 4, 2009
By Jeano1000
from Camping in the White Mountain National Forest
|
"We tried using the Coleman Stovetop Coffee Pot on our camper's propane stove and it worked but very very slowly. It took half an hour to brew a pot of coffee. Then we used our Coleman stove, that puts out much more heat, and presto. We had a pot of fresh brewed coffee in about 12 minutes. We really need our morning cup of coffee no matter where we're camping. When there are no hookups for electricity the Coleman Stovetop Coffee Pot is really the thing to have."

Works like a champ,
July 22, 2009
By NoCalCamper

"I used the Coleman coffee maker for two weeks while camping in the Trinity Alps this summer. Making sure the 'pause n serve" lever is properly seated, the unit produced consistent, delicious coffee time after time. At 6,000 ft, the unit would produce 10 cups in about 15 minutes, much faster and better than a stove-top perculator pot. Clean up is a snap as well. I would recommend an insulated thermos to keep coffee in once brewed, if coffee isn't immediately consumed."

leaky coffee pot,
July 14, 2009
By wynney

|
"I purchased the coleman camp stove about a week before we were scheduled to go camping. Our first morning we took it out and attempted to make coffee. Unfortunately, the reservoir was defective and leaked....no coffee for these campers. Also, when we actually put it on top of our coleman stove we noticed how much of the stove top it took up. We wouldn't have been able to use the frying pan to make our eggs and bacon. I will be sending it back and do not recommend this product."

I would recommend,

"would be a 5 star pot if the top did not keep slipping out/open. all in all this does excactly what it should and holds up well with back to back continous use, but you have to have the patience to stand with it and hold the top closed or it stops brewing.
i would and have recommended getting one to other campers and outdoor people."

coleman stovetop coffee pot,

By topcamp

"wish i had bought just an old perk coffee pot. the cscp is slow......and the hinge that stops the drip while you pour a cup has a hang up problem that if one doesn't catch .....one will find that one doesn't have a drip but an overflow all over the stove................stay on top of that and you can brew a great cup of brew. however my bud produced as good a brew with my beans out of his old perk pot on the next burner ........simple and clean........and much faster."

"Quick to set up and easy to clean. Just like your drip coffee maker at home, except you put it on the camp stove. Works very well and very fast. I would recommend this to any tent camper who has the space to pack it in. And just in case you were wondering, the coffee tastes fantastic!!!!"

"I had used one of thes awhile ago and decided I needed my own! Went night fishing with this and we made coffee on the pontoon boat instead of sipping from a themos. Very easy to use, but drink it all , won't stay hot like the home models. Was super nice having fresh hot coffee on the boat at 2am"

"Overall the pot made a good cup of coffee, BUT the way the lever in the back that prevents the coffee from dripping without a pot in place needs to be manually put in the correct position. If it isn't, then the filter housing overflows."

"vERY Nice for making early morning coffee. Just remember to get the filter basket put in right to allow the "pour as it brews" feature to work. If your stove is not completely level, sometimes the basket doesn't catch it right. Overall it worked great on a recent hunting expedition."

Coffe lovers,

"Makes an excellent pot of coffee. No grounds in the coffee like the older type of perkulator. Needs a little work done on the perk pause mechanism. If you insert the pot before you close the filter houseing, coffee runs out the side and all over the place."
