"For the price, very good reel. Bought this reel last year. Been fishing with it for 2 seasons. Not the smoothest I have used. I use this reel mainly for worming. Wacky worm. It cast very well with lighter lures. I have a summit, and it can’t cast lighter lures like this one can. DO NOT OVER SPOOL THE REEL. The reel will back lash many times if you over spool it. In fact I suggest under spool it slightly. This reel is not a hands free reel. You do need to control the cast, or will back lash.
Has caught many fish. 0.5 lb to 6.0 lb bass. I mainly fish a bass pond. The pond has a lot of cover, so I half to keep the drag pretty tight. Drag sticks a little if you really need to tighten it up. The button seems like it could break sometimes. Could be me, just being a little too rough with it. All in all a Very good reel."

"Reel casts great with mono and well with flouro.
It is a little bit too small for braided line and doesn't cast as easily.
All in all, it's a pretty good reel and worth the price."

"A bait casting reel is unique and needs much practice to use.
The Fish Eagle is an excellent and well built reel but not for
an occasional fishing outing.
Don't try to use it from a shore or brook with overhanging
bushes. Open water is best due to the space needed to cast.
A constant rats nest on the spool caused me to give up fishing
that day due to aggravation and lose of hooks to the surroundings.
I've used a bait casting reel on lakes and are great but not
in above situations.
I should not have purchased it for brook and shore use."

"This is an awesome reel for the price. It outcasts my Calcutta 50 on all but the smallest lures and is very smooth and reliable. Everything about this reel is excellent with the exception of the drag which is just average. I am happy to reccomend this reel to anyone. I have taken a 16lb Quinat Salmon on 10lb test so I can vouch for the performance. Tight Lines... Scotty"

"no extras-very basic mag casting control-spool end control improved-excellent workmanship-hope it stands up to big bass hook-setting-excellent speed for those spinner-bait fast retrieves. the graphite construction keeps the weight to a minimum-important for hours of repeated casting!"

"The reel cast great with both Braided and Mono. Line capacity could be bigger, but fine for freash water; however, I am a saltwater fisherman and have been spooled twice by fairly large fish."

"This reel is just aewsome! It can hold just about any line strengh. If you want the best out of this reel you must turn the little dial on the side to 3 or 4. You might as well get the combo because it comes with a virtually indestructable rod. The rod is a whuppen stick. this is an awesome reel."

"I purchased the 'Fish Eagle Tournament II Baitcast Reel' just prior to a trip to Lake Powell in August. 'Lined' it up with 10# Trlilene XL and tried out the adjustments.
Smooth action, FAST retrieve. The 'striper' action at Powell was decent but the Fish Eagle was just what I hoped it would be. Good looking, easy to get used to, and AFFORDABLE.
(One thing. The directions for use could be a little more detailed. The visuals could have better identified the adjusting knobs being referred to in the printed instructions.)
Otherwise, I am thoroughly pleased with my purchase.

"I have had this reel for about 3 months now and handles superbly!! I spooled it with 10lb flourocarbon and it handled a 18", 3.5 lb largemouth easily. I plan to use it everytime I go out and when it runs down, I'll buy another one. And the price, you can't beat!!"

"I love this reel! I bought prior to taking a fishing trip to have as a spare but after trying it out I used it the whole time. Casting and drag were smooth. I caught a number of good bass between 3lbs and 7lbs and it worked flawlessly. You would expect to have to pay high dollar for a reel that performed this well. I'm looking forward to using it again and would recommend it to anyone."
