"These shoes looked really great in all the pics. Once I wore them, however, that ceased to matter. I have a pretty wide foot and they were too wide for me. when I tightened up the laces, they rubbed the outside of my left foot raw. I read the other reviews before purchasing,and tried to break them in, to no avail. Also I ordered the size I always wear and my toe was over an inch from the tip. The insoles also come right out when you take the shoe off. they are sloppy and uncomfortable, not worth the money at all! However, they are a neat design. I did get a few compliments on them. I don't know if I just got a goofy pair or what, cuz I can't see how anyone would care for these shoes as far as comfort and quality goes."

"Bought these shoes for a trip to Costa Rica. First time wearing them without socks I thought I'd made a mistake but the second time and since then they have been very comfortable (with socks as well). Hiked rough and wet terrain in CR with no troubles. Hardly knew I was wearing shoes! Were great in the hot black sand at the beach. Wish they came in other colors."
