Locating fish has never been easier. The FishMark 480 gives you the super-sharp resolution and clarity that tournament pros demand in a sonar, but at far less the cost of most advanced marine electronics. The high-detail, 480 pixel x 480 pixel Film SuperTwist display on the 5" screen delivers clear images of what's below the surface, and the 16 levels of gray scale provide excellent picture definition. With 1,500 watts of peak-to-peak power, it has depth capability to 800 feet. The high-performance,
low-profile 200 kHz Skimmer® transducer delivers a wider, more effective fish detection area of up to 60° with high sensitivity settings, and it operates at boat speeds up to 70 mph. The cone angle is 20°. The FishReveal™ function exposes fish targets hidden in surface clutter, weed beds, thermoclines, and other cover, while the HyperScroll™ function locates and displays fish targets at higher boat speeds. Advanced Signal Processing (ASP™) automatically adjusts your settings for the
best sonar picture, and separates fish from nearby structure and bottom. Advanced Fish I.D.™ shows underwater targets in different sizes of fish symbols, and FishTrack™ displays target depth readings above fish symbols. Surface water temperature readings come from a built-in temp sensor in the transom transducer. The unique display feature lets you combine a panel of sonar data readings with your
sonar graph in one easy-to-read display. It also has back-up memory, screen and keypad backlighting and zoom with zoom bottom tracking and easy zoom-in/out control. Every unit is sealed and waterproof, and has selective on/off sonar alarms for shallow water and deep water, along with fish and zone. It comes with a one-year warranty.

Excellent Sonar Unit,July 16, 2008
By RichW46from Lexington, KY
"I bought this Eagle Fishmark 480 as a replacement for my trolling motor unit. It's very easy to read, bright sunlight or dark night. The backlit screen shows up very well from twilight to total darkness. The menus are mostly intuitive but there are some settings you'll need to consult the manual for. There are options for what you want to have displayed on the main screen. I added battery voltage, just so I can monitor the starting battery. The next thing I did was to disable the fish alarm. It's based on the sensitivity and if you turn up the sensitivity the alarm gets very irritating in short order. Graph display is very sharp and presents a lot of detail. Menu navigation is quite easy with several buttons on the unit to choose from, then use the up/down and left/right button to hightlight your selection. There are drop down menu choices for most of the entries. Installation was quick and easy, but I already had the trolling motor bracket from my old unit. You can order one from Eagle if you don't have one. There is only one plug for transducer and power, very clean. I've been on vacation for almost two weeks now, using the Eagle every day. I haven't had any problems and was able to use the unit right out of the box. For a basic B&W sonar device this is well worth the money. No regrets on my purchase."

Eagle Fishmark 480,September 1, 2009
By arff0911
"Coming from an Eagle Fish I D is a big difference. From 65 pixes. to 480 pixes. Thankx for a great product for about the same price. I just need to learn how to use it now. Automatic seems to work fine but I would like to have a little more of the finer details. I'll learn. Could it have more features? YES. Should I pay more for more features? YES!! Great product for a good price!"

Overall Good For Price,August 10, 2009
By AlH001from Superior, WI
"Bought this to replace my Eagle Ultra Classic Plus that I had for over 10 years. I really liked the resolution of the screen and ease of hook up. Temp sensor is incorporated into the depth transducer. My complaint is with the Fish ID. I fish Lake Superior where motor trolling is the preferred method of fishing. I liked the Fish ID feature on my Ultra Classic, even though I understand it is not as accurate as reading arches. The feature with Fish ID I liked was the depth reading of the "fish" would be displayed, helping with down rigger placement. On the FishMark 480, you need a microscope to read these depth numbers. I literally needed a magnifying glass to read them (I have 20/20 vision). This was really a disappointment. All other display numbers, depth, temp, etc. can be made bigger or smaller. There may be a way to make the Fish ID numbers bigger, but it is not in the owners manual. Other than that, it is a very quality piece."

Eagle fish finder,July 24, 2009
By olefishermanfrom Oregon
"This fish finder was "as advertised". It displays well and is fairly user friendly. Screen is readable from ~ 12' or closer. Good conrast and symbols are easy to understand and read. I was somewhat concerned with "reliability" from some of the user ratings from Cabelas and other merchandisers, but no problems so far. Hopefully I will not have some of the warranty headaches that some users have noted. Installation was fairly easy, though the cable really could have been longer (it was as a stretch to maunt the unit where I wanted due to the cable not being quite long enough."

Eagle 480 w/ temp.,July 24, 2009
By Boilerfrom Urbana, IN
"I bought this unit to take to Canada on a fly in fishing trip. Battery life was excellent. We fished for 6 days and original batteries lasted the entire time. Clarity of display was outstanding. To make the unit portable it was necessary to buy accessories from another company. It included some extra wiring but was very easy to do."

FishMark 480,July 14, 2009
By Bill9977from Eastern Washington state
"Installation was very easy, and with the 480 Pixels the clarity of the screen is great. Only complaint is depths in fish mode is really small, hard to read, but maybe I just need to read the book more and find a way to enlarge them. Like all Eagle products this is great."

Sonar Unit,February 24, 2009
By Swe1940
"This unit works well with the sincensitivity turned up in the manual mode to separate fish from the bottom structure. I do a lot of fishing on hard bottom in the Gulf of Mexico, and most of the fish are bottom huggers. It is a very nice unit for the money."

Great Fish finder,March 31, 2008
By onehipbillfrom Santa Maria California
"I would recommend this product for any fisherman who has a less than 480x480 H@V pixels fishfinder. It is so easy to use, and you can drop a lure over the side and jig it up and down and see the lure on this fishfinder. User friendly, a great product for the price and quality of the unit. A must for any serious fisherman."

Fish Mark 480,October 16, 2007
By catchandfryfrom Monticlllo Kentucky
"My new Fish Mark 480 was delivered in two days and only took 1 hour to install on my boat. After reading the instructions we went out on the lake Cumberland and after using it for a hour or so I was convenced this 480 is the best buy for my money I have ever seen. I could see my fishing line and a lure being jiged off the bottom and a great picture of both fish and bottom. I would recamend it to anyone that loves to fish like I do. Great Buy. Thanks"

Eagle Fishmark 480,November 20, 2006
By Duracraftwannabefrom Cedar Hill, TX
"I recently upgraded the dated electronics on my boat. After some research, I settled on the Eagle Fishmark 480. Installed on the console, I was astounded at detail this little unit displays. You really do see fish arches just like the demo. Easy to use and packed with features, it is great buy. I was so impressed, I bought another one for the trolling motor. As the units are only a few months old, I cannot comment on their durability."

Eagle Fishmark 480,October 24, 2006
By TheFederaliefrom Georgetown Tx.
"I recently Purchased the Eagle Fishmark 480 and could not be happier with it. The detail on the screen is outstanding with the 480 x 480 display. I have a friend who has the color display and he is equally impressed with the performance. With other fishfinders I always experienced screen washout at high speeds but the Eagle fishmark 480 keeps right up and doesn't miss a beat. You can't go wrong for the money on this one."
