A Must Have for any Kayaker!,August 27, 2009
By MartiAndKappyKayakfrom Wisconsin
"Marti in Wisconsin-----
This is the ticket! Must purchase 2 of these to work. I Clipped it to the side of my kayak (front is too far to reach) and love the way I can attach my fishing pole also. Was not able to use the clips very often while fishing when there was any water current or waves, as I had to be ready to paddle instantly---it is not convenient or quick enough to hold my fishing pole and try to unclip the paddle at the same time, so I still rest my paddle across my lap alot when I am fishing.. I am hoping that when I purchase an anchor system for Kappy kayak that this issue will no longer exist!"

"Not compatible with my Old Town Loon Kayak and unable to be secured. Did fit nicely on Pelican 100, but found that you need 2 per Kayak to be effective. Highly recommed 2 per Kayak."

What a great idea,June 10, 2008
By huskyloverfrom Upstate central NY, near Syracuse
"I mounted these clips on my Wilderness Systems Pamlico 135, and they clipped in perfectly. I did buy 4 of them, as it is a tandem, open cockpit kayak, and 2 paddles are to be stowed; one each side. I gather one clip is supposed to hold a paddle, but I thought one fore and one aft for each paddle would be a better way to go. So I have 2 clips each side. The paddles are held in very snugly, and are just inside the kayak, out of the way for fishing. I WOULD RECOMMEND BUYING 2 FOR EACH PADDLE! The included rod clips are very useful as well. When we want to paddle, the rods are clipped in, out of harm's way. Once we reach a new fishing spot, we switch the paddles for the rods. Nice! Makes the "fishing in a kayak" experience a bit smoother, and keeps a rod from getting hit by a paddle and broken, or a paddle ending up in the drink while fishing. This is much easier than stowing the paddles under the elastic netting at the front of the kayak, where they're STILL in the way! My wife loves them too!!!!"

Not Functional,March 22, 2008

"I tried to mount this on a Wilderness Systems Pamlico 100 kayak with no success. It did not positon the paddle in a acceptable manner and would not hold the paddle secure."
