"screws are cheap, the heads all got rounded due to the soft metal, they are also not long enough to go through the hanger and far enough into the stud. one hanger pulled out of wall when the kayak was hung"

"This hanger went up easily and is a real space saver. I have a large sit-on-top kayak and it only sticks out about 15 inches from the wall. I mounted the hangers close to the floor and store the boat with the top side to the wall. After reading other reviews, I chose this over the harness/hoist that mounts to the ceiling and I am glad I did."

"I bought two of the kayak hangers, and one has my tandem kayak on the wall and the other my longboard. Installed easy (make sure to put in the studs) and the kayak and surfboard both went up easy, too. Tad expensive for just padded big hooks, but worth it to me just to get the stuff up off the floor."

"I really wish these were made of aluminum. It's a good design that is poorly implemented, in my opinion. The powder coated finish is uneven which has produced areas of rust on the hangers. The hanging hardware is complete and utter junk. Every single screw-head stripped during installation. When you open the box, take the screws and throw them away. Get yourself some decent stainless or coated screws at your local hardware store. Other than that, I'm fairly satisfied with the product. If you decide to purchase these hangers, do yourself a favor: if you're mounting these outside or even in your garage, buy a can of spray on clear coat and give the hangers a good couple of layers. You'll probably have to respray them once a year to keep the corrosion at bay."
