This product is worth well worth the weight!,March 24, 2009
By MrBobber
"I got this anchor to use in my one man sneak boat when fishing. It does a super job and is lightweight and easily stowed. In fact, with its collapsable flutes, it holds as well as other anchors weighing much more. Even though it was designed for a kayak, it clearly has applications on any small or lighweight watercraft."

Easy to install and use,March 24, 2009

"I wasn't sure I even needed this kit with the trolley system. I was just going to rig an anchor of the stern handle. Boy am I glad I got this. It works great! It is super simple to deploy the anchor and move it anywhere from the bow to the stern based on wind/current/fishing conditions. The anchor itself come pre-connected and is a really cool folding design with a lock ring that works great. Install ation was about as easy as it gets... On my Wilderness Systems Pamlico 10 I hooked one carabiner to the bow handle and one to the stern handle and ran the trolley rope up the starboard side. There are two reasons for the 4 stars instead of 5 - 1. To really be complete they should have included an anchor float and a small cleat. 2. I really wish they would have included some kind of rope guides to attach to the hull. Those are all things I will add myself so it's no big deal, I just wish they were in the kit. As others have stated, there is no block included, just carabiners. I think this is actually a good thing because without the friction that the carabiners provide the anchor would be free to move around too much."

Needs a little more,March 2, 2009
By GregAndrewfrom Los Angeles, Ca.
"The anchor is ok, but needs a tie point in the front for unlodging. The trolley line was too short for my Trident 15 by several feet. There are no cletes for the trolley or anchor lines. Other than that, it is a good start ."

KAYAK ANCHOR SYSTEM,August 18, 2008
By herlerfrom Escondido, CA
"The product was not as represented in the catalog. The anchor was supposed to be 2 pound and it was only 1 1/2 pounds. The catalog showed a pulley for the line and it was not provided. Only a ring was provided for the line to go through."

Kayak Anchor,August 4, 2008

"Good for ponds and small lakes. Not recommended for tidal areas with sandy bottoms. Purchased for use on Cape cod bay and couldn't hold bottom - wrong type application. The kit is nice and will function well for ponds and small lakes."
