"I mostly fish soft plastics and live bait in the kelp off San Diego. I have a crazy old aunt that always gives me some useless gimmicky fishing thing for my birthday every year. Once she gave me a telescoping Bart Simpson spincaster combo, I'm grown man. This year she asked the salesman what the best lures was and got one 7inch Blue Althea magic swimmer. I landed a 22" calico and 30" white bass the first time I used it. It works as good as live mackerel but I can fish it in closer to the kelp like a plastic. I'm going to order a few more of this things. I would like to see one painted like a greenback mackerel."

"This lure does have a very natural swimming action. However, I didn't catch very many fish with it on a trip to Canada fishing for pike. The lure moved and darted like advertised, but I didn't have a lot of luck with it. The lure tended to want to run shallow when I used it. This was most likely from using a faster retrieve. The results I had with this lure didn't offset the price of it. I had better luck with the various Rapala crank baits."

"A friend tried to discourage me from buying this lure: "it won't swim right after one decent hit." Well, five (5) vicious pickerel strikes later, she still swims like a dream!
The colors and details are spectacular. The sink rate is perfect for controlling exactly where you want to put this lure in the water column. This lure can't be fished wrong.
Is it worth the money? When my partner (who isn't using a Magic Swimmer) is on full-time net duty, helping me land my catch, it's hard for me to say no..."

"Not only great movement, can be worked right on top, mid level or deep just let it sink and reel slower. Most crankbaits I always find a need to up-grade the hooks, Sebile puts on great hooks so that is a big plus. The only drawback is the price."

"This lure is very well made. One reason I love it is that it casts like a ROCK. Also, it's very vesitile. I got mine in albino and painted a blue/black back on it. It's like a big, white, 7" slug-go with a blue back and huge red eyes. I can even fish it like a Slug-go. It can produce an erratic darting motion, or you can walk the dog subsurface slowly with the rod tip up. Or, you can even make it jump 6"-16" out of the water. this lure is insane. But, even with the 7' model's wieght, whatever depth you retrieve at, it will stay at that level until 7-8 feet away. Seeing as I fish for blues and stripers on the East coast, this lure will be in my arsenal for a very long time. Thank you Sebile!!"
