One Bomb Cat!,August 5, 2009
By Nightfisher04from Mason City, IA
"The first time i ever came apon a fish cat was while i was camping. A buddy of mine brought one with to use as a float for river tubing, immediately i was hooked. People say that this cat is hard to control in high winds or whatever, but all they are really saying is that they aren't used to controlling it yet. Once you get it down you will be zipping between docks and backwaters right away. The great thing about it is that it's very comfortable, the adjustable back rest makes it easy to lay back and wait for fish, where you can always sit straight up so your ready for that first bite. The pouches work great for tackle, there is much more storage space than you would think. I would have to say though that the best thing about this float tube is the compartment in the back. You can put tackle, coolers, or best of all fish in this area. It has two drainage holes in the bottom that lets a small amount of water in. I use it most for yellows and striped bass, along with crappie and bluegill, anything larger than a panfish should probably be attached to a stringer. I have placed up to 40 yellow bass in the rear compartment behind the seat w/out any fish falling out through the hole at the tip of the pontoon. Hope this helps with your decision."

"Great tube, easy to maneuver. Lots of storage & beverage holders are a plus. The foam seat bottom can be hard at first, mine's starting to break in after the 3rd time out. I can even put a small cooler in the front."

Awesome Float Tube,June 19, 2009
By Fishkiller55from Boise, ID
"I took this tube out and absolutely loved it! It kept me high out of the water for easy casts and comfort. The small "pouch" behind the seat is great for those long days on the water. It can hold a cooler, or your tackle box. The adjustable seat made the trip all the better! This is a good tube that has the comfort of a pontoon boat, but the ability to pack up small. If your looking for a float tube, or pontoon boat, look no more."

Fish cat 4,May 15, 2009
By TerryJRfrom washington lacey
"This was my first float tube purchased I found it very easy to use even for a beginner. it seemed really durable and lightweight. The only compliant I have is the seat it really wants to lean way back and the adjustments are hard to use when your in the water hopefully I can get it adjusted right because it felt like I held a crunch for two hours other than that I am pleased with it"

Blown Around,August 29, 2008
By TubeFisherfrom Tucson, AZ
"Comfortable and light weight, BUT...Doesn't track well and hard to control in wind , especially broardside, over 5 mph. An about 15 mph wind came up on Henry's Lake, ID this week and it was a real struggle to get to shore across-wind while being pushed well down the lake (tube kept spinning pointed-end into the wind) . Not enough flotation in the seat to keep buttt dry (I weigh 183#). Ad says 2008 model has adjustable apron, but not mine shipped in late July. Also, the apron contracts in and you have watch where you are stripping. Primarily since it worries me in ANY wind above a small ripple, I'm sorry I bought it and I wouldn't buy one again."

excelent,July 21, 2008
By rdwdsol
"This is my 1st tube and unless I wear it out it will be my last. Easy to handle even for a 1st timer, very safe and sturdy and VERY COMFORTABLE to fish from, even after several hours on the water. D rings and such are convenient, storage is more than ample for a day on the water.
I'm 6'1" and about 225 and was a little worried about the 250 lb rating, but I sit high on the water and feel completely safe. For the money it is clearly a good buy compared to others I've tried."

Upgrade from Donut Tube,May 8, 2008
By TourDeTroutfrom San Diego, CA
"I've used the truck tire tube style float tube for about 15 years and thought is was about time to upgrade. My brother has been using the Fish Cat for about 7 years and said it has worked quite well. I actually borrowed a Fish Cat from a friend on a fishing trip and was sold on it. The main advantage as I see it is that it keeps most of your body out of the water. This keeps you from freezing in 45F snow runoff water. The other advantage is that you sit a little higher on the water. And the Fish Cat moves on the water!
The two bladders can be inflated in about a minute using a high capacity hand pump (the kind that fills both on the downstroke and the upstroke). No more looking for gas stations to fill my tube.
The only disadvantage is that since the Fish Cat is so quick on the water, it is also prone to being blown around if it is windy. But other than that I can't think of any negatives."

apron,April 29, 2008
By theusualfrom Wellesley, Ma. flyfish 4 times weekly from Apr-Nov
"The apron which is inserted into slots is inferior to earlier versions of the fish cat 4 float tube. The former, since not attached permamently, is easily lost; it sits too high in its position and thus gets in the way. I am now not using it and therefore have to deal with the stripped line falling in the water and under the float tube."

Great tube,February 1, 2008
By Daverdofrom Utah
"This is my second tube and it a great overall tube. On windy days you track fine. I took it out with a group of friends and when we were done the all wanted one. They were blown around the lake and I was catching fish.
If storage is an issue you may want the FC4 deluxe. It is the same tube with an inflatable seat.
Fishing became a lot more fun after I bought this tube."
