Good solid waterproof boot,September 30, 2009

"I bought these boots to use archery elk hunting. They were great ! My feet remained dry and that is important while sitting in my tree stand. They were comfortable and did not need much of a break in period. The reason I marked them 4 stars instead of 5 is the laces broke before the season ended so had to put leather laces in. Also after wearing them every day they seemed to get a bit ragged where the green mesh meets the seam. Making them look like I had been wearing them for a lot longer. It did not seem to affect the water proofing at all. I plan on purchasing another pair to have on hand in case Cabelas stops stocking them."

"Hiked up a steep, rocky mountain in the rain with these the first time I wore them. Did loose my footing once or twice, but I don't think it was the boots as much as me! My feet stayed dry, and I didn't have any blisters! I wore them till I went to bed that night. I love these boots!"

"Cabela's Women's Backcountry Hiking Boot is over and inch taller than another manufacturer boot I've used for the past 10 years and comes too high over my ankle. I'm 5'3" and the boot is very stiff and uncomfortable. To make matters worse, between shipping, handling, and returning, I lost over $17.00."

"I bought these boots early in Jan 09. I was walking in the local woods, in the snow, in my Snow Boots and finding it difficult to keep footing. I bought the boots on the reviews already posted, received the boots five days later and wear them every morning to walk my two labs in the snow covered woods. I have found the boots to be comfortable, a good buy and they keep my feet dry when the New england weather changes from dry to wet. I would recommend these to a friend."

"WOW! These hicking shoes are the best boots I have ever bought.
These Ladies boots are really GOOD LOOKING! stylish without being clumsey or manish looking. They are light yet strong enough to withstand, hicking up trails and going into the mountains, thru streams, over rocks and just about anything else you can think of. They are also good to wear for just bumming around shopping centers.
I am a Photographer, and travel all over for my work and I wear these shoes, while driving and trecking into the mountains, etc. They have never failed me yet. I walk thru water, climb on rock's and go down dirt roads and they look as good as new when they dry and with just a bit of brushing.

"After treating boots I have worn them every day to work at a state run tree nursery. Every day is cold, wet, muddy, and long.
